As a season ticket holder for the Hastings family area, I was planning to travel to brookie and get the $8 away ticket as a season ticket holder.

The manly club dont honour away season tickets so we will be paying $22 for a GA ticket. They are the only club in the comp who dont.

I rang the NRL and they said they are dissapointed in Manly but it is out of their hands

I remeber one year we went to this game - obviously they were not expecting a big crowd as there were limited people selling tickets at the gate.

They eventually opened the gates and we went in for free just as they were kicking off in 1st Grade.

The NRL advertised that season ticket holders can get into away games involving their team for $8 and one would think the NRL must have negotiated this with all clubs.

Special Message to all Roosters Season Ticket Holders
Monday, April 3, 2006

On Saturday night at Brookvale Oval, Sydney Roosters Season Ticket holders were forced to pay $22 to stand on the hill.

This is despite the discounted $8 away ticket for Season Ticket Holders having been in operation since 2002 at all grounds in Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra.

Please be clear on several points:
1. This $8 Season Ticket initiative has been agreed to by all NSW clubs.

2. The continuation of this initiative was raised at 2 separate club marketing meetings at the NRL and agreed to its continuation in 2006 by all clubs.

3. Manly Sea Eagles is the first club to blatantly refuse to honour this agreement struck with all clubs and continued since 2002.

4. This initiative is seen by all other clubs as a benefit to season ticket holders for their support and loyalty.

5. I have protested these points to the NRL which has raised it with the Manly Sea Eagles and ultimately been ignored.

I have been in regular contact with the NRL since I first became aware of this issue on Saturday morning. It has been highlighted to me, they are as disappointed as the Roosters in one club’s decision to change agreed benefits without communication.

As a result the following has been initiated:

1. Manly Sea Eagles season ticket holders will NOT be offered the discounted $8 season ticket offer at the return round 18 game at Aussie Stadium.

2. The NRL has confirmed the $8 away ticket will be honoured by all other Sydney clubs plus Newcastle and Canberra.

These tickets are only available at the gate ticket box when you show your season pass and are subject to availability.

3. Every Roosters season ticket holder who attended Brookvale Oval on Saturday night and has proof of purchase of a $22 General Admission ticket, will receive a $15 Roosters Central voucher.

To receive this, you must present your ticket from the Manly game to Roosters Central or mail it with your name, address and season ticket number to Roosters Central, before Friday 14th April 2006.

Send your used ticket to:
Roosters Central
PO Box 1532
Bondi Junction NSW 1355

Or simply drop into Roosters Central with your used ticket and season seat pass to receive your $15 gift voucher.

I am sure you understand this is a situation out of our control and we are doing everything possible to represent and stand up for the agreed rights of our and all season ticket holders.

Kind regards,

Richard Fisk

I bought some Mcdonalds over the road prior to kickoff and was intending to take it into the game.

When they searched my bag they saw it and said " The club have a no Mcdonalds allowed into the ground policy !! " I said " Your f**king kidding me but they assured me that they were not. I told them that their policy is f**ked up, and then ate my Macca's outside the gate before they would let me in.

You have to pay 40 bucks to sit in a 1970 grandstand even, and when LETT got injured in the first half for the Jets they buggered around with a stretcher to take him off. Where is the injury buggy. Were they trying to save on fuel. Get Farked !!!!

Yeah I noticed the "No Commercial Food Allowed" lucky I had only assorted nuts (fresh) otherwise they would have been picking them out of their bums still. They tried to make me buy water inside as I had mineral water in my bag - but told them to get knotted.
