Baby News!
Well I've nearly been bursting since I found out the news Monday evening! Amongst all the rush and organising the Angels for the Domayne function, Suyin and Beaver got Wendy and myself aside to quietly tell us she had some news to share. "News" that we couldn't tell anyone about until their scan on Wednesday. Now imagine saying this to Wendy, who is about to host a function for the Domayne Eagles Angels and who is about to entertain an audience!
So now we can tell EVERYONE. Suyin Condon and Steve Menzies are having a baby Beaver!
I spoke with Suyin this afternoon and got the exclusive of the footy season.......
When did you find out you were pregnant?
I'm 12 weeks pregnant now but we found out when I was 5 weeks.
Did you tell anyone?
Just my best friend Hannah Harris (wife of Sam Harris - former Manly player) and friend Sarah, and Emma Kennedy. Then on Monday night yourself and Wendy.
Do you know if it's a boy or girl?
No!
Do you want to know what it is?
No - we want it to be a surprise.
I spoke with Karen - the physic we have in the Eagles Angels Lounge and she has told me what sex it will be...............
Yes!!!
(I told Suyin - we'll just wait and see!)
Any morning sickness?
No not really - although I've been told that it still could happen.
Family excited?
Oh yes - Steve's mum is over the moon - my mum can't believe it - everyone is so excited!
I guess Steve is thrilled - was this planned?
No/yes - we didn't think this would happen so soon.
I thought you looked a bit different when we had the girls night out the other week. You were 'covered' and not in your usual attire?
Yes - well - did you notice I wasn't drinking?
Not really because your personality never changes whether you've been drinking or not - you are always bubbly and hyper!
(Suyin laughs)
So does this mean Steve is going to make an honest woman of you?
Definitely not - we'll get married when the time is right!
After that Suyin had to leave - she was going off looking at baby 'stuff' at the shops!
