18 points and our halves did everything they could to stop us scoring points. Not bad.

Simona and Nofo are quality players. I think Koro is just as dangerous as both of them and possibly more dangerous but he has more mistakes in him.

Tedesco isn't going well though and he is starting to worry me. I think we should persist with him though at least for this year. I'm not sold on Richards coming to the club.

As of next week and until the end of the year:

1) Tedesco
2) Koro
3) Simona
4) Nofoaluma
5) Taqele
6) Siro
7) Brooks

BENJI, ANASTA, LAWRENCE DESERVE TO BE IN RESERVE GRADE AND AYSHFORD IS LEAVING.
WE ARE GETTING HIDINGS ANYWAY.

Good backline but I believe Tedesco should spend time serving an apprenticeship in the NSW Cup similar to Simona. Tedesco should earn his position in competition with Kurtis Rowe.

Lawrence did pretty well considering how shit the halves were, especially Anasta. A good pass to put Simona over.

Some people have no idea.

I'm still keen to see what Rowdy can do with an offseason of sprint training but Simona does seem to offer more at the moment. A Simona/Koro or Simona/Richards pairing could be dangerous on the left.

The problem being we still need a right side Centre. So does Nofo or Simona play there? If Simona is on the left or at Fullback then Nofo plays right centre, who is our right winger? I would like to see Simona/Nofo on the right next year. This leaves Teddy at FB and he really needs to kick on as while he has been solid, he hasn't really looked too dangerous in attack.

1.Teddy 2. Richards 3. Simona 4. Lawrence 5. Nofo...is a backline that looks likely.

If Richards or Koro can play at right wing then I wouldn't mind seeing Simona at FB as he has looked great running in broken play.

I thought he may be carrying a knee injury and other hamstring problems? Lose some bulk, sprint and agility work over the off season and he will be back. You don't lose pace like that without reason.

So we are just keeping Lawrence just because he was signed long term by Humpty?
What other reason?

He is a bit down on form at the moment but is improving. On his day he is one of the best hole running centres in the game. He has the ability to get a ball to his winger, is usually solid defensively, is a proven try scorer, runs great lines and is still only 25 and should be hitting the prime of his career.

Unlike Benji, I believe that Rowdy can get back his pace and form with a good offseason (sprint training etc) and some luck with injuries. The potential is all there, he has a good work ethic and would be one of the senior playing in an incredibly young playing group. He needs to step up, find his form and be a leader on the field. If he can do that then he deserves his spot and he definitely deserves the chance to do so. If that doesn't happen next year then we should be looking at replacements in Simona and some of the other young stars coming through.

I agree, he is one of the best defensive centres in the game. In attack, what he does with service to his wingers reminds me of how 'smelly finger' gave great service to Chicka Ferguson.

Always believe that when you have a winger who scores plenty of tries for a team, the guy inside him is typically the one who gets him there. OK before someone shoots me down and talks about cross field kicks to the winger, etc, I'm talking of old style centre/wing play and too me, that is how Lawrence plays.

Poor old Teddy.
Our perception of him was grossly distorted by Moltzen and his ineptness.
When Tim was letting the ball bounce to God knows where . . . . and passing immediately for no good reason . . . . and refusing to run with intent, ever . . . . along comes James Tedesco.
A kid who could and would catch. Attack the ball. Run hard back at the opposition. Commit to taking a bomb on the full, with little regard for himself.
Compared to Moltzen, that is. If you compare him to a Bowen, he just don't look as good.

I agree that he hasn't progressed much at all.
But we saw him as the Messiah following the frustrations of Timmy. He was the easy replacement option, but just hasn't kicked on, has he ?
He'll be right in due course. I'm sure that Potter and Mayer see what we do.

I know a few people on here haven't liked the Richards signing but with Benji leaving we have sorted out our goalkicking problem. Richards is a much better kicker then Benji is

Richards will be a good signing.

Dunno where he will play though.

Koro, Nofu, Simona = quality.

Maybe Rowdy goes to forward pack?

I'm willing to persevere with him because he's safe.

Besides, just how much could he get involved in backline movements with Benji and Anasta in the halves?

May as well have him focus on key things such as catching bombs under pressure, positioning and kick returns this year.

Get him involved in attacking plays next year with more stable and long term halves options in the side.

For all we know, that may actually be Potters plan?

Teddy needs to get some better quality boots, he slips over a few times a game.

He also has a few drops in him during attacking set moves, which at this stage id be putting that down to poor passes from his five-eight.

All the slipping and sliding reminded me of junior burger. Not good memories.

But it is still basically his debut year and coming off a Knee reco, I expect he will get better in the following years.

Which I think adds to my point that maybe Potter is keeping his role simple at this stage.
