Bails should stay on, but if can't be loyal then he should go. The fact that he is considering leaving is very poor. :(

I think he'll stay, and I also think that he has no intention of leaving.

I think he's putting on a bit of an act of indecisiveness so that he can get the contract upgrade he's after. If that's the case, I'm not too worried. He's a good player and if his heart is in the right place, then I'm more than happy to give him a bit more cash to stay at Cronulla.

If I'm wrong though, well, I'll be massively annoyed and disappointed with him...

"im damned if i do, and im damned if i dont"

fug him .....he can gf'd..

There's 1000 backrowers with just as much talent waiting in the wings, who actually want to be here...

If he plays well enough, his upgrade will come ....but if he's gonna hold the club to ransom for a couple of bux, he shouldnt let the door hit him on the way out.

Ando goes - bailey goes
Ando stays - bailey stays

You say that like you know it as a fact. I'm personally of the opinion that we'll see it play out as Ando goes - Bailey stays. And you can quote me on that, and make me look like a fool if I'm wrong..

I think it will be a question of money, if Ando is not coach. It appears having Ando as coach was an incentive for Bails to come to the club.

Or at least his manager has instructed him to say so in order to earn the manager more money either way, whether it be increased percentage from Ando's money or increased percentage from Bailey's money after holding the club to ransom for a new contract.

Doesnt Ando have a phrase for that sort of behaviour? Low merkin?

If he stays then all good and well so long as he is back in the second row where he belongs, If he goes then theres some more money in the kitty to invest in another player maybe from England or to upgrade and retain current players who come off contract this year. Its not as if where short on second rowers is it.

That what I have been thinking and how I have been feeling.

He became my favorite player during the finals last year and too see him come out of no where and make NSW and then Australia was a huge highlight for me during this terrible season.

He has said before that 2004 will be a huge year for the club, he says he loves the place but I really think he is holding out for more money as he knows that once peach is gone he'll be the next in line for the C.

At this stage it looks like Phill Bailey's attitude is somewhat "I am a superstar", so I thik he will get over it and end up staying at the sharks...I hope.

Reports on the wires this morning would suggest that he is fair dinkum about the Coaching episode, and that perhaps $$$$ isn't the main issue. Contract negotiations have ceased until a decision on the Coach has been made.

as it will be difficult for anderson to get another 1st grade coach job bailey may not have the option of playing under him anyway

Exactly, and this is what I think he meant by the "damned if I do, damned if I don't" quote. If Ando gets the boot, it doesn't matter if he stays at cronulla or leaves. Either way he won't be coached by CA next season.

Well Bailey is a fool if he goes to the Stains.
Im sure their idiot fans wont be welcoming him with open arms.
I suppose they could fit him under the cap in 04 but he will demand 250k after that.

Its all up to the greedy manager of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
