Ventured down to CUA this afternoon to catch the Matthews and Ball games against the Tigers.
Harold Matthews came away with a 32-10 win after things were locked 10 a piece at half time in what was a pretty spirited contest.
The SG Ball blitzed the opposition 62-4 and leading 22-0 at HT.
There is a lot of talent in these two sides and it will be interesting to see what sort of Flegg side we end up with as we can expect a handful of the SG Ball side will step up when there season ends in two months. I dont know how were going to fit them all in but we will certainly have one hell of a Flegg side for what I saw last night and again today.
The Tia Kilifi brothers in the second row in Matthews were both very impressive.
In Ball it is hard to single out individuals in such a big win but I liked the look of the five eighth Wade Graham. Lachlan Coote and Zoran Watene while both on the small side were very dangerous and each scored a couple of tries.
Going down to CUA and watching these youngsters in action helped alleviate some of the hangover and depression from the loss to the Eels. I repeat some, not all.
