The October issue of Rugby League Review states that the current Tigers jersey will only be used when the team plays at Leichhardt. For all other games a hybrid jersey which includes RE's colours will be used.

thats just changed my mind on the arrangement

I was never told about that (maybe because there internet would of been cut off) they told me that 2 changes where looking like taking place

Hawk on the sleve and a red stripe on the jersey - they where also thinking about using the RE shorts as well

If what is in RLR is correct then its something I could very well turn my back on!

Does this officially signal the death of Balmain RLFC at a senior level? They'll no longer have an independent team. Just "shares". Same for RE.

I think RE are making excuses re the points in JBC. The points system is a good thing. I think they have issues with the JBC in general. Despite the best efforts of the NSWRL, I'm sure the comp has not lived up to anyone's expectations. A lot of teams are withdrawing and it looks bad.

Meanwhile the Western Reds had the original hybrid jersey. Black, Gold, Red and White. Just wear that

What Ryde do not understand is the need to have a team in JB and the same for other clubs considering arrangements with PL clubs. The jump from Park and/or Flegg to open age is huge and the need for JB is important in development.

In 2001 when Newtown only had a PL team we won 2 games only and in 2002 we entered a team in Metro and then JB and while the results are disappointing we did give players an opportunity to showcase their skills as well as provide depth for PL.

Ryde have taken a soft option and that thinking by only being involved in PL all will be ok and the same applies for Cabra and others who may consider this option.

1) this will deny players on the way up to miss opportunities and may send them to rugby.
2) does nothing for junior development.
