Anyone heard how this game went? I need something to make my weekend a little bit cheerier when it comes to football.

Balmain won convincingly in first division 50-16 or something close to that and jersey flegg won a harder match. Norths hung with balmain in first division for the first half but Balmain eventually got on top and stacked on the points. Pangai made an impressive debut in first division, while Issaka made a strong return. I think Norths are at the bottom of the table and don't have much going for them, so the result is good, but not unexpected.

Flegg won a hard fought match without Thompson, Pangai and Albert. Kmet had a tremendous match as did Tobin.

With the attack the Tigers have, Sydney City never looked threatened in defence. We lack the class of player capable of turning half chances into tries and we also lack the footballing know how the top teams have in their halves and backrow.

Our salvation is in the lower grades and it will take time for players like Pangai, Collis, Wara and especially young Dean Caldwell to come through. Watching yesterday's flegg game, it was a pleasure watching Caldwell who looked comfortable in the number 6 jersery and who has the size of a Fittler and Hill. His passing and kicking game was assured if not spectacular, but it is readily apparent that he has the talent and skill to be a star for the WTs.

I reckon you're right on the money with the Patto call Bon. He has actually go Ok the last couple of weeks though. Got the game ball twice in the last three games (both the losses? ). He actually took it up with gusto on Friday, but these were really too few and far between. Still Sheens consistently shows he has his pets.

Small went well, not spectacular. He should definately be picked before patto.

Farah was players player and did well.

And not to mention he is still only 16 ;-)

So no Alberts in JF, does this mean he joined Pangai in PL? Good to see we won both grades though, at least something's been salvaged from the misery of the friday night performance.

With those scores it means in Flegg we are now equal 2nd (but 4th on for and against :() As the Eels lost to the Panthers on the weekend as well :D

In PL that win was a huge one for us as we could of moved outside the top 8 and I think we now open up a 3pt gap to 9th at least which is good!

I didn't go to the game as Brook was admitted to hospital on the weekend and looks like I won't be going to many games for a few weeks at least either :(

Alberts sat on the bench but did a lot of stretching in the upper leg area. I believe he may be slightly injured and he was rested.
