Barba up for sale

Just saw that the bulldogs are looking to get rid of Barba if they sign Folau, dont know about you guys but i would be happier to get Barba than Tomkins, i hope we have at least made an offer

I'm not sure where they'd place Barbara if he did sign with the Warriors but unless its the Cowboys, Tits or Broncos, I don't expect any other club is in with a shot

I'm still not sure the bulldogs will get folau. The aru will throw more cash at him if he goes well in the lions series of tests than the bulldogs can match. If we do then both the broncos and cowboys need fullbacks so I think Barba will just go to the highest bidder between the two, with the broncos a touch stronger as his missus lives there currently.

Why would they need to get rid of Barba to fit Folau? They re-signed Barba on a long contract (end of 2015 I believe?) before he went on that run of great form - surely he's on wages way under his market value. It would make much more sense to offload a lesser player on a similarly-sized contract...

This rumour just doesn't make sense to me.

Also why get rid of a star fullback for a centre/winger?

Unless it's Reg Gasnier or Dave Brown then there is no centre dead or alive worth the same value as an outstanding matchwinning fullback.

First Cameron Smith and now Ben Barba. We can't even get mid quality players to cross the ditch let alone guys who would walk into just about any club and demand top dollar.

These threads are just clogging up space.

If the Dogs need to shed money to sign Folau I expect there'd be a few on the chopping block before Barba.

Last year is far too recent in the mind to risk letting that talent get away from you.
