In the first half there were glimpses when we looked really good. Hunt looked to have pulled the finger out and have a go, and i noticed he wasnt trying to control everything like he normally does and let Amone play his natural game a bit. I was watching thinking we were going to tire them out as their foward pack is quite big and our line speed was good along with our sets we were being creative to get metres. After the sin binning i think we got exhausted not to mention the fact that Tigers had a whale of possession in the first half thanks to the referee.
Billy burns whilst not a game breaking second rower looked to really sure up the defence on the left edge which has been a problem for weeks. Not one try scored down our left side and i thought we defended well.
Why Suli doesnt get the ball more perplexes me. The bloke had like 2 carries in the first half busted about 8 tackles and ran for 30m. We seem to just use him as a battering ram to get out of our half and never give him the ball near the line. Would be nice to see amone set up some plays rather than dancing around trying to break every tackle or always dumping to the 2nd rower.
Dan russell tried hard in defence and our right side looked pretty good with the exception of Ravalawa running in all the time. It was really noticeable that once he injured his knee and couldnt fly in anymore and actually had to hug his wing they didnt score any more tries down the right side.
I thought Frances Molo played really well ran hard and his brother wasnt bad either. Bird looked completely lost he needs a really big off season and hopefully Flanno can get him back to his former glory.
The 2nd half we were just Gassed and resorted to playing hookball to grind the game out, f*k me it was boring to watch.
