Anyone know any individual results (and the overall winner) from the Battle of the West Cup held over the weekend.

Battle of the West Cup (played between Div 1 premiers from Parramatta and Penrith districts, from U7s to A grade)

Battle of the West U9 Rouse Hill Rhinos 12 Glenmore Park 6

U11 Cabramatta 12 Minchinbury 6 Think that the first defeat for Minchinbury in over 2 years, both games were very high standard.

Wentworthville also won the U13 against Minchinbury. Cabramatta won the U12 agasint St Marys 30-28, scoring 3 tries in last 6 minutes

Parramatta teams from u15 up did not do as well as expected , they had numerous players in rep trials and games against the Broncos, so not at full strength from what I was told

U9 only went 12-6? Weren't you associated to this team? What happened there?

I know that Parra held internal trials for their talent squads, HM Cup and SG Ball during the week, but I was unaware of any junior rep games against the Broncos.

I know that their main SG Ball trial will be held this Friday night.

Balmain held their SG Ball invited trials (which would have included some Parra juniors) on Saturday just gone.

2 very good teams , the Glenmore Park fullback scored 4 tries in their GF, he was very quick, good effort to keep him to one try

An excellent game, happy to see the Rhinos get up, only been in existence 7 years, so still growing and creating our own base of boys.

As rugby league season wraps up for 2013, the Parramatta District Junior Rugby League has been busy bringing home trophies across all divisions from Under 7’s to A Grade.
Over the weekend, the Parramatta District Junior Rugby League took on the Penrith District Junior Rugby League in the Battle of the West Cup, with the Parramatta side taking home 7 wins to Penrith’s 6.
On the Saturday, at St Mary’s Leagues Club, The Wentworthville Under 8’s defeated Penrith’s St Mary’s team, the Cabramatta Under 10’s defeated Glenmore Park, the Cabramatta Under 12’s defeated Penrith Brothers and the Cabramatta Under 14’s beat St Mary’s.
On the Sunday, competitions held at Cabramatta Sports Ground saw the Rouse Hill Under 9’s take home a win against Glenmore Park, while the Cabramatta Under 11’s defeated Minchinbury and the Wentworthville Under 13’s won against Penrith’s Minchinbury.
Parramatta District Junior Rugby League Executive Officer, Phil Cummings, thanked everyone involved and is already looking forward to next year.
“To see all the 1st Division Rugby League Teams from Under 7’s to A Grade representing both the Parramatta and Penrith District Junior League over the weekend in the Battle of the West Cup was a credit to Rugby League in the Western Suburbs,” said Cummings.
“The quality of Rugby League on display ensures both Districts will continue to be a major force in Junior Representative Programs.”
