Bloody hell Folkes bring him in NOW!!!

The kid is 19, not 15. He's more ready for first grade than bloody Jow Williams will ever be.

I have never seen a more woeful performance from a first-garde side in a long, long while.

nothing to lose now we might as well throw him in..he's been nothing short of very impressive all year in Toyota Cup, and certainly the clubs best half so far this season.

I thought Groom was also a star of the future, you mean they are only gonna give him one chance in FG? Surely they should give him a few games before Barba.

Neither are up to it yet. Folkes doesn't want to expose them. He's doing them both a favor in a way.

Just watch any Bulldogs Toyota Cup game. You can't miss the bloke, he will be the one scoring all the tries.

Barba is not ready, the fans of the bulldogs were complaining how poor their defence was, putting a rookie first-grader who doesnt know how to tackle properly in, is not an option, you can tackle properly and be a bad defender, but the kid just cannot use the right tacking technique.

I thought Joe Williams was your best attacking threat, although his defence was abysmal, he had a hand in a couple of tries, and set up a try for El Masri, he needs to be given a go for more than one week, his form for us last year led us to a finals series, the guy can play, but dropping him after one game in first grade isnt gunna help his confidence, Hughes i thought had an decent game considering the circumstances

Roberts was sh*t!!!, he was dead-set hopeless and it was nothing to what we have expected from him this year, his kick that went backwards was the story of the night for him.

What ever happened to Brent Crisp ?, I thought he was a great fullback for you blokes, I assume he is injured.

I dont think either groom or barba is ready for first grade, so your stuck with three options with one to be omitted, Roberts, Williams or Holdsworth, unless you try and play someone out of position, maybe Maitua at five-eighth, Williams at half, Roberts to Hooker and Hughes off the bench ?

Joe Williams was the better out of the two halves by a big stretch, Was the only player along with Hughes at some stage that looked to create anything.

If your dropping him on the basis of the teams performance, then your gunna take a step back.

I watched him yesterday and despite scoring 3 tries he didn't really impress me that much though. He's very fast but he's also small and built a bit like Matt Bowen. He didn't demonstrate Bowen's creativity or evasiveness yesterday though. Maybe he has these attributes but just from watching him he appeared to me to be primarily a speedster. The dogs right now lack creativity and organization more than anything. I'm not sure he can provide this. He might make an ok winger or fullback though.

Bear in mind also that every team hypes up their juniors. You never hear a club say we have bad juniors. Theres always some brilliant young half waiting in the wings too that the fans can't believe isn't playing first grade. Then they make out the coach is somehow crazy for not having him in the side. It's worth noting you can count on one hand the number of genuinely great halves in our competition. Most halves fail when they get to the top. So if you think I'm being negative look at past history.
