In my opinion Farrell is not up to it at centre. I'd say he will be in a big fight for the left wing spot. The confirmation of more changes to our squad has me adjusting our backline again:

Dugan
Nabuli - crowd pleaser
Neilson - solid, strong, experienced
Matta Utai - solid, young and enthusiastic
Nightingale
Widdop
Marshall

So are these guys even good?
Beale plays for New Zealand. Is that good? I'm not sure.

Stanley. Couldn't pick him out of a line up.

As for Bird. He'll likely be back row.
There will be first grade on offer given the age and fitness of topou, Gallen and Lewis who don't play and when they do play for nsw.

Beale is good. He was imo one of our better players particularly in the first half of the year. Unlike, say, Dane Nielsen, he has elusive footwork and great hands - he scored tries, made line breaks and had a good number of try/linebreak assists. Considering he had returned from a major injury (typically takes 18 months to fully recover), and had previously trimmed down to play fullback, I tihnk he'll only get better.

Kyle Stanley though is a spent force. Injury has done him in.

Jack Bird is a big loss. Would have been a contender for a starting edge back row for us

Tis the ying and yang.
We lost fritzl. To you guys. Beau Scott became an international etc.

We lost peachey to panthers but have signed about 800 of them.

Beale will be good on paper but cronulla is where backs go to die.

Josh Hannay, Jono Wright, Aysford, Nigel Vagana etc

I would love someone to break the trend.
Or somebody crack 10 try's for a season

wait for it,
Coach Flanagan welcomed the pair to the Sharks and was confident they could both make a major contribution to the club.
“With Gerard it is exciting to be adding a player to our roster with his speed and skill,

I liked Beale but pleased he has moved on.We have too many fleet footed players and Beale is one of them, need more aggression in the centres hence shifting Dugan there.
Hopefully now Duges goes back to FB and Nielson regains some form for us.

What an incredibly Price-loke plan...put Nielsen, a specialist left centre, on the right...and move Farrell, a specialiest right centre, to the left!!!

Who is "Price-loke"?

What's your plan then, have Mata'utia play both left and right centre? Seeing that you love the guy so much:lol:

Price-like...surely you can forgive the typo champ!

I'd have Mata'utia and Farrell fighting for right centre, atm Mata'utia edges Farrell but whoever doesnt play there should be playing on the wing.

Most players pass from right to left, meaning our right edge defence is most under strain, hence why I think whoever is our best centre in defence (I think it's Nielsen, but somebody else could surprise) should be our right centre.

Again, our passing, with widdop playing left edge, is most strongest passing right to left, so IMO our best attacking centre (which I though was Farrell before he was injured) should play left centre. Again, if their is another better tracking centre in the club ATM, then they should be playing left centre.

That's my reasoning anyway! :D

A lot of brave assumptions in there!

I am confused, what's this passing and what's a centre?

Our lot don't do our use either. No idea why we buy those centre thingy's

That's why Beale and Stanley will be ideal for you mate.
Throw Prior into the mix as a back up and Flanagan actually makes Price look clever.
All good, sensible blokes with no issues or baggage and unfortunately won't meet your quota of providing unsavoury incidents. :D
Beale may still come good but unless Stanley has access to Rudi from The Six Million Dollar Man, his body may not hold up to the rigours of what lies ahead.
Still, an improvement on what you had Millers.
Happy days mate
