It must say something about what 18-year-old Waratahs five-eighth Kurtley Beale is poised to offer Australian rugby that, after NSW's 12-0 win against the Brumbies at Wollongong on Saturday night, some of the loudest applause for Beale came from opposing coach Laurie Fisher.

2007 might not be such a bad season for the Tah's after all.

I'm not worried about the result here, only 3 or so regular Brumbies were playing, about the same number as regular Waratahs really.... the Waratahs do have a lot of concerns arising from the match though with Dunning out for 8 weeks and Kanaar out for the season, adding to the already high injury toll with no Vickerman till the finals should they make it, and Lyons out till round 5

Beale set up the winner against the Crusaders with a dummy inside his own half beat the first line of defense and with the fullback to beat popped it back on the inside to Josh Holmes.

The Crusaders coach said he had alot of class in his play.

I guess the lesson is, watch them play first, before you comment, eh locky you rich big hunk of a man.

Tahs are going to be stuffed in the lineout their usual strength. Beale is a real talent though hope hes on the bench at least.

To put it in perspective though, he cost the Tahs a try with a shocking missed tackle earier in the match. Still, his defence can be improved with some hard work, but the kind of attacking talent that he has is something that can't be coached. Definitely a talent.
