Perth should open the cheque Book and try and prise jez Litten from hkr. He’s at his peak and arguably one of the top 4 hookers in the world. Don’t know if he’s got a get out clause in his contract but he’d be just the sort of elite signing we need. Not that I want him to leave rovers!

I think they need to see how the SL they've bought go. They really need to nail some proven NRL talent with the money and spots they've got left imo.

We've already seen hit pieces on Cumins, De Ceglie and now Sharpe relating to strained relationships to NS.

There are no conflicting interests nor are there any strained relationships between any board members.

The regurgitated article on Sharpe had more to do with pronouncing the falsified clashes between him and de Ceglie than anything else. The board didn’t even discuss Sharpe at the scheduled board meeting just recently had this past weekend.

They did however discuss how the on-going recruitment strategy and pathways systems implementations are tracking and how the forecast looks. As mentioned in another thread - a GM reporting on it is part and parcel of the gig.

Also, as mention in that same thread - these recent reports are no different to the previously reported Ezra Howe Titans/Bears situation which proved to also be false. Likewise, the hit piece that Mal was looking to quit and then another hit piece that NRL were upset with de Ceglie at various stages - hot tip.. it’s from the same journalist each time. He currently boasts a record of 0/4, maybe 0/5 when reporting on Bears related “inside” gossip.

You lot on this forum get more detailed inside information of the Bears than that journalist does.

Cobbo - no … too many errors in his game

Cook - no .. 35 yr old hooker .. possibly for $300k on a 1 yr deal if he doesn’t get a better offer and will play for that

Watson - yes … good experienced utility

Tracey - heard he is staying at Bulldogs .. otherwise possibly if they can’t do better

Molo - big yes for me .. has some mongrel and likely cheap … needs a lot of discipline instilled though

Mann - 33 yr old depth only and paid accordingly .. 2 years maximum

Cobbo, Watson & Kennedy - yes
Molo maybe at right price for his aggression which they need a little more of.
Mann ditto for mongrel - along the team needs more flexibility around 6,7,9
A relatively young squad so far which is great. There are some possible good older players about but worth keeping the powder dry. I'd definitely think about Waqa Blake for backline depth & as local rep, if available. And all in on Drinky. Should Mal sign Kennedy then Drinkwater is a possible class a running 5/8.

yep, connor tracey re-signed. maybe announced yesterday i think.
cobbo has his moments. could be anything, could also be very lazy. depends on coach and team mates around him i reckon.
yeah, cook looks washed to me. might be good depth and squad player for experience but father time is undefeated.
watson is a strange one, i say yes but with wishy and looks like humphreys theres 3 similar players. watson is rep quality though and apparently one of the best club players to have in and around the boys.
molo, sure but inconsistent.
mann would be good off bench.
