You bag Charlie Staines yet want Tyrell Sloan seriously ?, I agree with you on Staines but different clubs bring out the best in some players, he would be decent back up for little coin.
Sloan as you said is very rocks and diamonds, more rocks unfortunately.

Dragons turn everyone to rocks mate. Put him at another club and he goes to another level.
Some clubs are good at nurturing certain talent while they struggle with other - Dragons struggle with everyone.
Sloans a talent.
Stains is solid but has a way shorter ceiling.

Sloan was a talent once, not now, horrible defender and often loses the ball in attack especially after doing something really good.

Look at Pearce Paul that's now at the Tigers, struggled at the Knights,played some reserves, goes to the Tigers and every week getting better.

That's confidence - something everyone at The Dragons is struggling with. I'm don't think that's him, if he goes to the right club you'll see a different player.

I'd take Drinkwater & Sloan at any club I was in charge of. With the right system in place & the right head coach/guidance, I think you could easily get the best out of them & find a way to have them in your starting 13/17. Whether the Bears think that's the case & can get either/both is another issue altogether

Seriously.. The answer is “maybe” but for one year and like $300k…

I’m not sure he will have interest to move across the country for that … this is one of the disadvantage the club is at … getting a guy like this that might still have value but only being prepared to risk for a year cheap initially

Unfortunate for Drinkwater but, it is a critical part of the game ....

That last line of defence would be terrible, targets Sloane side, Scotty coming across try every time.
