I'm with you Millers.

It's hard to make full-on hit ups and bone jarring tackles when you are still recovering from a tricky injury.

Now that his fitness is back, he's relishing the battle up front.

Great to see. Like Reefy said in his 3-2-1 thread..."he just huuuuurrrrttsss caaarrrnts'

He's playing for a contract
Thats what I thought, but if he gets a contract with us I hope continues to play like this, maybe the idea of not getting a contract was the rocket up the ass he needed.

According to Vossy on the Footy Show just now, Beats has been told that he won't be offered a contract with us.

So, if he's playing for a contract, I hope Shaun McRae or someone was watching!

of course vossy has not got a sparkiling record for predictions

if the money is there and beats plays like that for the rest of the season there is no reason ot to offer a contract

I agree Millers. Reece Williams has shown me nothing so far. Dale Newton is still languishing. Vagg too. Galloway is still learning how to play against the big boys. We lost Jason Williams. Hutch is still very much an unknown entity. If the money is there, why not keep Beats?

Absolutely Millers and GF.

I think we should be seeing what's left, and not cutting him loose to early.

BUT, what if another club comes along and offers him a decent package between now and Round 26?

Then, as GF points out, we risk running next season with a bunch of young blokes who are a bit under-done.

I like Reece Williams, I think he's got potential, but he needs to start SHAVING first! Poor kid, we risk ruining these guys if we rely on them too much too early.

Fact: Beattie at the top of his game is SoO quality.
Opinion: We are yet to see the best of him this season, but he is starting to warm up. :D

He was playing for a contract for sure, but not with the sharkies, I think last night was a job interview for the coach and CEO in the away team box.

Thats the best he has played for a long time in my opinion.. He hit hard in defence, and he ran hard and fast at the line..

Warriors have just signed Price - which means they won't need Beattie.

Here's our window of opportunity - re-sign him quick!

I dont think we should retain Beattie unless he is very cheap. He just isnt the physique etc IMO of the modern prop, look at the top sides (Dragons, Panthers etc), they dont have slow, imobile players like Beattie.
