I dont think we should retain Beattie unless he is very cheap. He just isnt the physique etc IMO of the modern prop, look at the top sides (Dragons, Panthers etc), they dont have slow, imobile players like Beattie.

And yet, we persevered with a bloke called Andrew Pierce for HOW LONG???

So it's OK to get a retirement package if you have the right surname, but if you're called Beattie or Peachey, then a half-decent (but reduced) contract to see you out isn't on???
