Beau Ryan has copped a lot on this forum (and for good reason in a lot of cases), but one area of his game that is continually overlooked is a category in which he leads the NRL in by a country mile. Go through yesterday's tries and what is the one common denominator?? You guessed it, Beau Ryan is first man in every time bar one when we score a try for a good old fashioned man hug. Its a category that isn't well publicised and I'm here today to give the great man credit
He currently has a 85% strike rate for 'first man in - post try'. He is breathing down the neck of the Great Matt Jobson, who had a 95% strike rate for 'first man in -post try' but played far less first grade (I'm still gobsmacked as to why he didnt play more often). Keep an eye out for Beau on Friday, as he has flown under the radar enough for this year
