This guy is a gun.

On the wing he has been great but I think he really works well in the centres as well. It also allows us to have two massive wingers with real good go forward in Lote and Utai.

All year he has been awesome for us but tonight he showed how well he slots straight into the centres as well.

Ayshford has been good for us but I think Ryan and Lawrence in the centres looks a lot better.

Ryan is too small in size to be a dominant centre.

I believe our attack will be much stronger with him at fullback and moltzen in the halves.

Sironen is a behemoth, there's no way he could remain a five eighth at that stature (and he's still got some growing left to do)

If Moltzen gets it together at fullback which he has been he is probably the best option there.

Playing Ryan in the centres then allows Lote and Utai on the wings and both of them are a huge part of our go forward.

He doesn't have to be a dominant centre - he simply has to keep playing like he has been.

Agreed. And he looked pretty damn dominant last night.

Yep - I wonder how much more he has to do over last nights performance.

To me so long as he gets his defence right his attack will be fine. He works like a demon as well. At one point he got hurt and I was yelling go and have a rest and then he hits it up again. His effort and workrate must be up there with the best in the game.

He's got a huge heart and a great work ethic. He's fast becoming a very important player for us.

because sheens picked a utility back on the bench who wouldnt of got a game otherwise.

i think being taken off was a reward for hard work. as opposed to why he didnt take a tuquiri, utai or lawrence off...then i dont know, probably thought theyd be better for the run.

Ryan played as a centre long before he was a winger.

He has to be the most improved player in the comp in the past 12 months.

IMO he aleady is an important player to WT...gets smashed every week and keeps backing up for more, probably has limited natural ability compared to others but plays to the best of that ability week in and week out. Good finisher too......we could do worse than have half a dozen like him

He was outstanding under the high balls and deservedly man of the match...

But I like to see a fullback running back into the line with nothing but reckless abandon.

Ryan's got it in him, but we didn't see it tonight.

Go on, Tim. Give him another go next week...

Probably the smart thing to do in those conditions. No point taking the bomb and dropping the ball on impact.

Been a while since he played fullback and his positioning most of the night was great, shows how far behind our starting no 1 is.

Moltzen out was a blessing in disguise.
Definitely.
FB: Ryan
5/8: Sironen
1/2: Marshall
Hooker: Farah

Utai was very good, Tuquiri is getting too slow and at some point a younger player needs to be brought in. Moltzen could be used as a utility to be brought on in the last 20 minutes or so when the defence is breaking up and he'll have holes to run into (on the assumption that Sheens is determined to have him there somewhere.) I dread to think how he would have handled those bombs tonight, likewise the Storm grubber that Beau took on his tryline and promptly got smashed into the ingoal.

Lacks the support play that Moltzen can offer, but more than makes up for it by being dependable under the high ball, putting his body on the line on and off the ball and running the ball back.

Tonight has been the first night since Hodgo I've not had to swallow my heart watching a bomb go up.

i think his defensive positioning wasn't the best.. on some 5 tackle long kicks from storm he didnt get there on the full even when they were pinned in their own 20m line
