If Bennett left the Broncos, you’d have to think the clubs that could be interested would be
- titans
- storm
- raiders

Everyone else seems either set with their coach, or I can’t imagine them chasing Wayne (ie manly more like to go back to Des, can’t imagine penrith wanting him due to clash with Gould, etc)

How weak must Queensland RL be if Brisbane are throwing big money at New South Welshmen?

Roberts and TPJ are easily their best players!

Parra will have a crack, one would think

So the story now is Bennett is offered big bucks to coach in England next season.

Big question out of this is what fairytale finish does the NRL aim for this year? Thurston grand final and retire looks like no chance, maybe an origin 3 return and win can tick that one off. Warriors first premiership anyone? Sacked Bennetts grand final win against all adversity in his final NRL season? Need to fit in a parramatta drought breaker some time soon too but no chance this season.

So first they chase hard for Paul Green and he turns them down, then they throw some big money at Craig Bellamy and he rejects them as well. Who are they gunna try and pinch now? Robinson? Flanagan? Cleary? It’s obvious they don’t have any faith left in Bennett

...actually due to being not as good as the one we've got now....suck eggs donks.

Exactly right. Bennett's days at the Broncos are numbered whatever happens. Probably due to having to call in too many favours to keep the side competitive. Once you open a can of worms you can't re-close it.

It’ll be interesting if he leaves the club in a shit state like he left the Knights and to a lesser degree, Dragons and Broncos

It will be good Ol' Kev "Sloppy Seconds" Walters. In this case it will be sloppy third man in with sammy as assistant.

Chris Johns has slammed the treatment of his former teammate Kevin Walters by the Broncos. He claims that the Broncos led Walters to believe that he would be the likely successor after Wayne Bennett and says its why Kevin Walters turned down the Titans job because he thought he would get the job at the Broncos.

I think what Johns says is true, but I understand also the thinking after last year's State of Origin win that Walters was in the hot seat for either the Broncos or the Cowboys job and Walters was advised to knock back the Titans job. And if the Broncos signed Paul Green then the Cowboys job was his, and if Green was signed by the Cowboys then the Broncos job was his. Bellamy wasn't really even in the picture at the time.

There has been some reluctance out there for Walters. He missed out on the West Tigers job to Mick Potter because the Tigers thought Potter was better prepared and more professional in the interviews. QRL also went after Paul Green for the QLD coaching job before reluctantly agreeing to give the coaching job to Kevin Walters.
