I know it's over, however what caused this saga, who instigated it, was it a Queensland thing, was it just a personal situation, was it a rival club paying him in brown paper bags (these days Crypto currency) to play shit, was it just the satanic evil eye (haha), from the moment he signed with St George the media had daggers lined up, spruiking shit all over the rugby league media world, paying overs, paying overs, paying overs ????
They must be having a good toss now, since the experiment failed.

He might think about chucking a hammy strain when he plays at Kogarah or the gong next year or 3.
We didn’t make the finals because of his inaction.

Like Kenny Everett with the big hand.
Ben Hunts bottom lip has become his nemesis for all the other clubs to now deal with.

His actions haven’t gone unnoticed.
Every club must have seen his limp effort.

Jessie Ventura said it best……

His limp effort for the last 5 years has prolonged his career for another 2 season, watch him kill it to prove a point, even as a prop forward.

When I first heard we'd rid ourselves of Ben Hunt I immediately thought Bevan French. I remember when he went to super league it was for money not because he couldn't make it in the NRL. Parra fans were pissed.

When I looked him up, his positions were listed as Fullback, winger & Outside back ?? Thought my grey matter was, well, not working well. I thought he was a six!

Chatting to my son over the BBQ I told him the above and he replied "Jai Field plays Fullback for Wigan and Bevan French is 5/8". My son reckons Jai and Dufty are hot in attack but Bevan is shit-hot all round at 5/8. The first man to win Man of the Match in both the Challenge Cup Final and the Grand Final in the same year.

Unfortunately early this year the 28-year-old penned a new four-year deal with the Wigan for the 2025-2028 seasons.

Bugger, but - You never know!

Does a transfer fee to Wigan count as part of salary cap?

We supposedly made inquiries earlier this year but he decided to stay in SL.

I heard Titan's are likely
Dessie is a distinguished sulker.

There’s not verbage to that effect, but the old body language gives him away, especially his lying eyes. Not happy Jan.

Your flanno at the losing press conference, he’s gets these strange twitches and tremors. His fingers are basically tapping away at thrash rock speed. It’s contained rage, he’s holding everything back for the public relations.

I waited desperately for him to lose it and grab bunt around the throat. Even if Bunt had a good game, I wanted to see Flanno explode!

I really, really, really like how he’s just given up a million next year based on ego and there’s absolutely no one knocking at the door of a 35 year old far quit.

There’s a lesson here for many people in this day and age.

Yes.

Players are very coy about their coaches temperament.

It’s not exactly a very modern work environment.

I think Benji has painted our dressing rooms mauve with streaks of mustard.

Bunt and Lomax would’ve had a field day with Benji. He would have spent more time on his Fijian holiday (many of us were hoping for). Zac would be boxing Iron Mike by now…instead of playing for Australia.

Oddly enough , they are 2 of the little whiners favourite colours ! I most sincerely hope that you Silverdale are not the middle - man in some half-arse scheme to get Hunt across to the Tigpies ?

If so , our long-standing friendship will be at an end ! ☺️

Yep.

All of us who bore witness to Uncle Festers long and drawn out demise cannot be separated in this life!

When Webby finally tapped him on the shoulder in the car park, everyone was relieved but I liked the fact that despite it all, there were no serious hard feelings.

He was more incompetent and hopeless than evil.

Also not value for money , considering the massive chunk of the Dragons salary cap he was paid for a 6 year period.

Good to hear from you again , your posts as always are quite stimulating to read , but did you really need to mention Uncle Fester ? 😶
