The writing was on the wall when he effectively took Steve Walters' position as the team manager and Scanlan had more say on recruitment and retention.

Either way best of luck to him in his new role as the QRL CEO. Reading some of the comments he made about the Queensland Cup as a development pathway, it sounded like a topic he's very passionate about and I hope he continues to grow the game in rural areas. He may have a fight on his hands with clubs looking to consolidate and enter their own club sides in the competition.
