Ben Ross- How good is he going?

He just seems to go from strength to strength. I was surprised at the bloke's ball skills too. He got a couple of great passes away against the Warriors. He really gets us going forward, which opens up the way for blokes like Campbell and Wesser.

Yep. You notice him everytime he comes on field...some bench players could be on field for a good 10 before you even realise they are there...not Ben. And to think this is only his 2nd year.

Yeah he is very under-rated and im glad we have such a solid bench player to come on. I wouldn't be suprised if he makes Origin this year.

His going great guns, so great you could almost slot him into the starting lineup. The only reason I say almost is becuase he has such a great impact coming off the bench why would you want to put him in the starting team. Though no doubt he will be there next season after marty retires.

He's off-contract at the end of season 2004 along with Joel Clinton.

I hope Richo and co have penned them in as 'must-renews'!!! [-o< [-o<

Yeah i think they all are in negotiations already or are about to start.
We need to resign a few players dont we and they will all be asking for more money.

Benny Ross is in great form at the moment - he was pulling off some great offloads yesterday in traffic, and was making plenty of metres.

If he can keep it up, has to be in contention for the Maroons.

I hope our players re-sign before they play Origin or else there price will increase and they'll leave.

mate there price already increased when they won the premiership last year. In any case I would suggest there will be a bit of extra money to offer anyway. Even if girds doesn't retire at the end of this year i think he will take a sizeable paycut.

Also Martin Lang is retiring. Bit of money there.

I reckon we sign tookey and send him to sureslim the rest of this year and get him ready for our bench next season.

I reckon could be a good buy.

If Girds gets another injury this year, I'm tipping he will retire. He has a future in T.V. With Girds and Bangers gone, there will be a spare 600 K floating around for Ross and Clinton.

Tookey wouldn't fit in with the structure at the Panthers... we generally have a quick front row, and with his weight issues, I think he would also be a bit of a liability.

We'd be better off trying to get someone like mark o'mealey from the dogs.

Or here is an idea we could find another talented junior coming up through our own ranks to develop, seems to have worked pretty well under JL so far.

Though I do realise some outside blood can be useful.
