The facts are these.Ben was injured badly at Brookvale Oval in his last appearance and has since undergone a knee reconstruction.
He has a season (2004)to run on his contract.
Let me say Ben is a complete gentleman and a pleasure to have around our club.
He is also a realist.With two severe bouts of concussion in the season followed by a serious knee injury it was a forgetable season for him by the standards which he sets himself.
He is aware because of the doubts about when he can return that the club has bought players into the organisation who can cover the spots he plays.Having said that it is Ben's decision - and only his - about what he does next season.He can stay and fulfil
his contract if he feels that is in his best interests.I would be lying if I said we weren't in constant touch with Ben and his management.If something is agreed on it will be fair and acceptable to both parties.At this moment Ben is signed to play next season and has said nothing to suggest he won't." - Admin
