Bench Peyton

The rumblings in Broncos Country have begun,. We are 5-0 and will hopefully be 6-0 going into the bye.

Manning is done. Stick a fork in him. He physically cannot make the plays needed for the O to be dominant and for the running game to get going out of the I formation, rather than the pistol. His passes are coming up short with no zip whatsoever and the receivers are adjusting their routes to make great catches.

There is not slot receiver atm and I do not understand why. Bring Welker back ffs and get the underneath game going with some slants and crossing routes with Daniels and Green to block for Welker.

After the bye, we play Green Bay at home, which will be huge. Osweiler has the physical tools but not the vision and instincts of Manning that came with so many years experience.

Does Elway have the balls to bench Peyton or will he ride it out even if the Broncos start losing as the weather gets colder?

Interesting times in Denver.

I really hate seeing a legend of the game play one season too many. He was done at the end of last season.

Saints are in the same situation with Brees, very sad seeing two future HoF QBs struggle so badly

He was done towards the end of last season, but at least he had played well before he started to fade. This season will be a lot worse if he fades beyond what he is offering so far.

6TDs 7INT is not looking good. Killing my fantasy team too.

Is he just playing for stats/records at this point?

Its interesting. I mean they are unbeaten and he's still smart enough to minipulate defenses and make put his offensive players in great positions to make plays but boy, his arm is shot. He looks horrendous.

Dont buy this shit at all about him looking no different to previous years, he's never thrown a pretty ball, there has never been tight spirals and huge velocity but christ on a bike, some of his balls are just hanging in the air like a plastic bag, and he's made some REALLY poor decisions too

I think he plays this year out and i think they try to win a SB on defense, also i dont think Osweiller is better than him right now... but this HAS to be the final year for him.

I'll tell you what though... His fellow 1998 draft class member Charles Woodson is straight ballin' at 39...

2 INT's this week to go with with 2 big ones over the previous 2 games... And he's been struggling with a bad shoulder...

The one play I was in owe of today was 1 on 1 on his goal line... He stopped the Broncos RB in his tracks with his f**ked shoulder... That just sums him up... First Ballot HOFer for sure...

Such a shame we can't quite put it together for him...

The Broncos are winning in spite of Manning, not because of him. Once it gets colder and the tough part of the schedule starts, Manning will continue to fade. Games against Green Bay, New England, Indy, Cincy and Pittsburgh are going to be tough. Real tough. The Broncos D is going great guns but to beat these teams, they are going to have to play lights out every game.

Realistically, the Broncos are close to wrapping up the AFC West if the Steelers win today. Manning might rebound but it doesn't look promising.

i'm pretty sure he's chasing the yardage record. he will do that this season so he will probably retire at season's end.

nobody is gonna catch favre's interception record. that will be one of those records for the ages.

The schedule gets a lot tougher after the bye week so the O really needs to step it up against Cleveland before the bye to get ready for Green Bay. Not saying it can't happen but there needs to be a lot of improvement if we are going to compete with one of the top two sides in the NFL.

If the Broncos can play like that moving forward, they make it to the Superbowl. It was a thing of beauty to watch tearing apart the Packers like that. It's amazing what having your O-line actually work and getting the run game happening can do to an offense.

The Broncs v Pats in round 12 is shaping up to be a game for the ages.
