Benji Marshall, Ace’s or New York

The Aces or New York have got to look at Benji to lead either club in their maiden Season. He would add leadership and inspiration to any side he plays in, with a view to maybe a coaching option when he retires.

New York aren’t starting next season and I can’t see Benji dropping to third tier English rugby with Ottawa.
The visa issue in the UK are really going to limit the options of aus/nz players who can’t gain a heritage visa joining these teams going forward. It’s been an issue in the past but this year it was critical.

If he could, he should, The name Benji Marshall will pull in good crowd’s which is what these new clubs will need in their first season. It doesn’t matter what level the tier it is. He still has a lot to offer the game and unfortunately there are no No 7 spots available in the NRL. I reckon he could go another 2 seasons with a Coaching carrier beyond that.

Of course he could I just don’t believe he will want to go from NRL to playing semi pros in Barrow in one step.

Hopefully he’ll get offered a life line in the NRL but this time next year he could be in the Same situation. But wouldn’t it be exciting playing Rugby League in the Big Apple, what an experience that would be for him and his family.

like I said New York aren’t in next year, I’m not 100% they’re even accepted for 2022 yet.

If the Warriors are based in Oz again this year they should sign him up for a year, although he does go against their current policy of only selecting non NZers.
