Where do you rank him in terms of the stars of the game? Last season, especially as the year progressed, he really stood up and improved his game, as he finally got confidence back in his body. He's only missed 1 of the last 40 or so games and this year is looking to be a very dangerous player. His ballplaying can just be so good. He's still probably guilty of overplaying his hand a bit but i think the maturity of his play has really helped him pick and choose when to go for his plays alot better than he used to.

In short he is a very, very dangerous player and he must be considered amongst the genuine elite of the game these days.

Had a quiet first half today, but played a crucial role in the Tigers win today against Canberra.. scoring that vital try just before half time and throwing 2 pin-point assists

I'd put him in the top 5 most influential players in the game

and most of all.. a valuable asset to Rugby League.. would be a massive shame if he left us, the kids love him.

He seems to be a pretty humble and decent guy to boot, compared to some of the other young stars of the game. Great to have him in league.

When he's in form I wouldn't trade him for anyone in the game. He's just so unpredictable. Had a few lean seasons when he'd try and do everything (especially after Prince left), and also had a lot of injuries (due to his defensive attitude), but I think he's over both problems now. I still think he has some improving to do, mainly with his consistency, he is still prone to the occasional howler (although they are getting a lot less frequent). I also think he's got some good combinations going with our outside backs which helps (he links really well with Lawrence, Lote and Tuiaki). Back in 2006 when we kept chopping and changing our backs, some of these guys couldn't read his play at all, and we bombed so many tries because of it.

People sell him so far short it's ridiculous.

Most people place Robbie Farah in the top 10 players in the NRL. As a Tigers' fan, I can tell you that most of us would find it extremely hard to choose between the two. I would lean toward Marshall. If I was chosing players on influence on the field alone (ie: forgetting marketability), Marshall would easily be in the top 10.

Benji and Robbie are both top 10 players. We're probably the only team that can stake claim to having 2 of the top 10 other than Melbourne.

Marshall when on song is the best player in the league, he can almost single handedly peg back a 30 point lead on his own in 30 minutes. The problem is, when off he can be well below what you expect. However, over the last year he's shown some maturity and instead of giving you a 5/10 when off, he'll give you a 6 or 7/10 when off his game. If he builds some more consistency, and just doesn't constantly try the remarkable, he could very well be the premier playmaker of the comp, if not already.

No, most people think is Ennis is better. Ennis shouldn't even be in the top 20 imo.

Easily the most exciting player to watch, I think. Great for the game.

See benji with that kid before the match yesterday? What a great guy. I have met him irl too and he is so humble it's not funny.

On the field he is top 3 in the game.

Benji and Farah both in the top 10, Benji slightly better. But they really need each other to work. I've seen Farah just drill it into the corner on the 5th whereas I know Benji would have gone for the miracle play. Sometimes you need Benji's influence and sometimes you just need Farah to settle things down a bit.
By the way, I think Benji should be the NRL poster boy. He's young, photogenic, and a real crowd puller. And he's very humble and doesn't dribble into the microphone when interviewed. Plus he's a Kiwi.
And he's got a squeaky clean record too.

Considering we've had guys like Inglis, Stewart and turncoats like Gasnier as posterboys recently, I think Benji would do wonders. He's more marketable than any of those guys.

Benji's can win a game with his individual skills and he is the X factor for the Tigers. He pulls people to watch him/game. All clubs need a "Benji".

The NRL love him as he doesn't S**t in hotels, take a p**s in the street etc.

Benji's slowly getting those regular howlers out of his game, becoming more composed I guess as a result of maturity and consistent offseasons not interrupted by injury.

He deserves a lot of credit for the way he's come back from all his injurys, one tough bugger

Marshall is certainly a top player. Probably in the top 10 players in the fame and certainly one of the most influential.

Farrah is not though. That bloke folds like a cheap umbrella in the wind when the pressure is on
