Definately Sowie was injured clearly shoud not even have played. I still believe in Wayne I just hope that we still have his 100% commitment for the rest of the year win, lose or draw.

Maybe I'm naive, but I just can't believe Bennett has given up on them. At the moment there are a few players who need to pull their head out (as off 3 weeks ago).. surely he has some ideas to get the boys thinking the right way and trusting each other on the field. That is what we look to have lost completely. Earlier this season our strength was whoever came into the side knew their role and everyone around them trusted them to be able to perform. I don't think that's happening now... we are arguing amongst ourselves, look confused in attack and unstructured in defence. We also look lathargic and unenthused.

On a side note, I don't know what the go was with whether Soward was convinced to play, or whether what Bennett states is true in the press conference and Soward chose to play. But if he was injured why didn't we just rest him? Surely the foot has to be put down and not be left to player, because unfortunately he was a passenger today... and especially for someone like Soward who is a confidence player, it could play on that vulnerability he may still have..

Lathargic alright.
Weyman can be seen yawning in the dressing room just before the start of the game.
Creagh, Boyd, & Cooper are the only players that seem to be putting in at the moment whilst the rest need a kick up the backside.

S.A. you're kidding right? Boyd trying? Creagh goes MIA. Ellis showed how to play as a running back rower last week. Benny looks nothing like him.

The only ones who can hold their head up are Nighty and Cooper.

Merrin can too after his effort yesterday.

and Ellis has a 5/8 that runs the ball and a dummy half that can create space and actually PASS a football.

Nonetheless, nobody can hold their head up high after yesterday's humiliation.

I realise Wayne doesn't like to give the press anything.

And I generally find that wryly amusing.

But not at the moment.
He has taken that approach to a whole new level - for the past two or three games.

As a SGI fan, I am very dissapointed with his recent post match interviews.

As I said in another thread...
Wayne's comments last week AND this week were hopeless.
Something like.
"I can't help them", "I don't do the tackling..." etc.

It was left for Benny H (in the post game interview) to say something like "we can improve".

THAT. Was embarrassing.

For Wayne to say "I can't help them..."
Was just plain dumb.

If that is true, maybe you (Wayne) did not help them WIN in 2010??
Eh?!

(which of course is equally as ridiculous)

So, Wayne, listen up.
Until October 2011, it IS your job to help them.
So get to it!

And while I'm on it, don't let me hear any more of those fawning remarks about "being afraid to meet Darren Lockyer in a Grand Final".

....................

OK.... OK..

I've ranted twice.
I feel better now.

Bring on Melbourne.

I am.
Therefore I hope.
Go Dragons!
hod.

Making metres is all about fast play the balls and momentum, everyone looks good when given space to run... Creagh was pushing back the defence all day (like he always does, there is no better 2nd rower), Boyd went pretty well, not at his best but hes still well above the average and u need that quality at the back.

There are a few players that arent going so good (Weyman has struggled for 1.5yrs), but to be honest were stuck with that now, finals are approaching... the salary cap ate up our extra forwards and we are just going to have to stick with what we have, and Bennett has to work on their mental attitude, we have 3 weeks left still.

Wayne stated the obvious that it's not up to him but the players. Which shows he has faith in them. They are all saying it's up to him to get them through and he is showing confidence in his players. Nothing wrong with that.

Looks like he has done all he can and the players are not responding hence the "I have no idea" comment.

I know he is good but not that good where he can read players minds.

Bennett always plays his cards close to his chest can be annoying sometimes but if he can turn us around all will be forgiven.

Q "Are you confident you guys can turn it around?"
A "No"

Immediately after the question was passed onto Benny Hornby who quickly snapped "Yes".

Not good.

absolutely... nighty was going hard for the ball. cooper looked fired up.

i think right now we're trying to find who is the cause of our slump. I think its a matter of each player just giving 20% more that will feed into the entire team.

If you look at the replay of our attack...very few times were we moving forward as passes were being thrown.

I agree, I think Weyman has really struggled to bring the same form he displayed in 2009 for a while now. Does anyone else think he's lost to much weight?

If anyone remembers Weyman's first couple of seasons with the Raiders, whilst he was pretty unfit and often injured, the few games he played he used to absolutely skittle the defense with his runs. These days he's much much fitter and carries a lot less bulk but seems to get put on his arse more often than not. He runs great lines but rarely seems to dent the line anymore.

Saw that today... clutching at straws me thinks! But if we are comparing, this week we need to win.

I have a good feeling about Friday. But (as i said earlier) we need a win. Not a "promising" loss where we competed for the full 80 minutes.

I think Young should start at hooker, and we should bring Fien on 20mins in the first half.

Would love to see a tough 19-12 win.

The reality is that it is 100% in the players hands, they need to take ownership, work for each-other, and regain the mongrel of 2009/2010/2011 (1st half).

Bennett actually reminds me of my personality, the media can get stuffed, if he says anything else whatsoever, and it will be back-page news. What he says to the camera, and behind closed doors dont need to have anything to do with eachother.

as soon as he joined us he improved a great deal, 2010 was his best year and so far he has been a shadow of himself, maybe it's down due to injury, but he needs to fire the f**k up come finals times and run with a purpose.
