Maybe you could visit the team at training this week and ask them IF they are going to turn up in Melbourne ......if they arnt then I suggest you dont either....It just all looks hopeless right now.
I am very close to cancelling my trip to melbourne
Maybe I'm naive, but I just can't believe Bennett has given up on them. At the moment there are a few players who need to pull their head out (as off 3 weeks ago).. surely he has some ideas to get the boys thinking the right way and trusting each other on the field. That is what we look to have lost completely. Earlier this season our strength was whoever came into the side knew their role and everyone around them trusted them to be able to perform. I don't think that's happening now... we are arguing amongst ourselves, look confused in attack and unstructured in defence. We also look lathargic and unenthused.
On a side note, I don't know what the go was with whether Soward was convinced to play, or whether what Bennett states is true in the press conference and Soward chose to play. But if he was injured why didn't we just rest him? Surely the foot has to be put down and not be left to player, because unfortunately he was a passenger today... and especially for someone like Soward who is a confidence player, it could play on that vulnerability he may still have..
S.A. you're kidding right? Boyd trying? Creagh goes MIA. Ellis showed how to play as a running back rower last week. Benny looks nothing like him.
The only ones who can hold their head up are Nighty and Cooper.
Merrin can too after his effort yesterday.
absolutely... nighty was going hard for the ball. cooper looked fired up.S.A. you're kidding right? Boyd trying? Creagh goes MIA. Ellis showed how to play as a running back rower last week. Benny looks nothing like him.

Making metres is all about fast play the balls and momentum, everyone looks good when given space to run... Creagh was pushing back the defence all day (like he always does, there is no better 2nd rower), Boyd went pretty well, not at his best but hes still well above the average and u need that quality at the back.
There are a few players that arent going so good (Weyman has struggled for 1.5yrs), but to be honest were stuck with that now, finals are approaching... the salary cap ate up our extra forwards and we are just going to have to stick with what we have, and Bennett has to work on their mental attitude, we have 3 weeks left still.
All I can say is - In Wayne We (well, I in this case) Trust.
makes for interesting comparison

Saw that today... clutching at straws me thinks! But if we are comparing, this week we need to win.
I have a good feeling about Friday. But (as i said earlier) we need a win. Not a "promising" loss where we competed for the full 80 minutes.
I think Young should start at hooker, and we should bring Fien on 20mins in the first half.

I agree, I think Weyman has really struggled to bring the same form he displayed in 2009 for a while now. Does anyone else think he's lost to much weight?
If anyone remembers Weyman's first couple of seasons with the Raiders, whilst he was pretty unfit and often injured, the few games he played he used to absolutely skittle the defense with his runs. These days he's much much fitter and carries a lot less bulk but seems to get put on his arse more often than not. He runs great lines but rarely seems to dent the line anymore.
