The media heads were talking about Roberts' poor game on the weekend and True EEL thinks they're talking about his whole season.

Roberts has been excellent this year. Sunday's game doesn't change that.

Now. Having said all that. I really do hope that Trapdoor Roberts comes good tonight.

I mean, if EVER a bloke was going too come good, it is this game tonight (whether he starts or plays off the bench). He's been pasted ALL week in the media - by the experts - after having been heavily questioned for the past 2-3 weeks by the experts AND he's playing against the most recent team to have demoted him to NSW Cup - his old mates, The Doggies.

For his sake, the team's sake and the sake of all the fans (including me, even though I clearly don't rate him as a player), will the real Benny Roberts please stand up????

Hey - Benny can't surely go much worse, so the only way is up right? Plus, I always get soft-hearted and sentimental right before a Parra game, hoping they might be able to turn it around. The optimist begins to take over from the realist. Same thing with Trapdoor and surely the probabilities are in his favour to at least make, oh, say only 3-4 mistakes tonight?? ;-)

Not rating a player and praying he comes good for the sake of the team you love are two vastly different things you know, oh wait, no you wouldn't understand would you ha ha ha

Oh, thanks Avenger, I think this pretty much describes how he went then. I said earlier in the year if he was still at the Dogs he would be still behind, Hodkinson, Keating, Reynolds and Romelo and clearly he would be....

Not trying to lay all the blame on him - of course the team is in ruins as a whole. But the point is, I said this last year and have maintained it this season - he was not the bloke for us to be one of our leading playmakers. He was never going to take us forward for the future. Mind you, SK likes scapegoats, look at Chris Sandow. Let's see if trapdoor finally gets the same treatment...???

I think Roberts has been ok this year. He is a big fan on the leaping attempted tackle around the waist. Swinging around in the air whilst having a very loose hold on the player, only to be left rolling along the field like a cat thats leapt off the back of a car doing 110km/h down the freeway.
