Since I Left You by the Avalanches should have rated a little higher IMO.
Good to see Kayne West get a mention in there.

Agree on both. Also good to see Bjork, the White Stripes and the mighty OUTKAST.
Bad omissions: Chili Peppers, N.E.R.D.
Good omission: Coldplay.

Number one is correct. Amazing... a band that broke up more than twenty years ago is releasing the best albums of the new millenium.

Go Wilco!!!

YHF is a great album.

If you like it you should get the "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" dvd.

I have A Ghost Is Born but I haven't really got into it yet. "Less Than You Think" with 10 minutes of white noise is stretching the friendship a little though. It's a quieter, more organic, album.

is there anywhere you can buy the dvd really cheap? lol

i love a ghost is born but by god it's the most inaccessible album of all time that's not crap. company in my back, hummingbird and muzzle of bees *splooge*. i heard the sound at less than what you think was put in to make the album interactive, as in you have to skip to the next track. but i don't know if that's a joke or not. reservations on yhf also had a pretty pointless finish

Pretty ridiculous having a best albums of this milennium list seeing as we're only in our 4th year. I won 2 of those cds, QOTSA (which was one of my faves for 2002) and White Stripes - Elephant which I think is awful.

For me it's gotta have The Mars Volta, Tool, A Perfect Circle, a couple of Opeth, porcupine Tree... ugh... nothing I listen to will get in.

Excellent Album

Good too see punk/hardcore being represented by a real punk band and not one of these stupid pop bands that seem to be everywhere these days.

I'd say that was a joke.

I don't mind it if it's the last song, and there was some variety in sound.

There's very little in "Less Than You Think" and it's boring as a result.

If you do hold out though it makes "Late Greats" sound like the best tune ever in comparison (and it is a pretty cool song anyway).

Cheapest I've seen IAGTBRY is about $40. You'd be best to get it from amazon.ca or somewhere else online (Canadian sites are usually a little cheaper than US sites). I got it when I was in San Jose late last year.
