That is irrelevant. The NRL rules have made it very clear that Keary is not eligible for Qld but for NSW. How can you forget article like these from back in 2015 by the Qlders crying about it -

Very impressively too. But allow me toi remind you what this discussion is about from the first post:

I don't think there's been such a perfect and in-sync combination since 2013 (Pearce + Maloney). I think it would be foolish not to pick Pearce and Keary (C) for origin this year.

Maloney won the comp again last year. It would be foolish not to pick him. But that other bloke, he roots dogs and his team were lucky to run second last. What's more he's a proven and oft-repeated failure at Origin level, and has a whole month of decent form at club level only. He is the option Queensland fear least. You know this full well. You can only be a Queenslander.

One thing I find hard to understand with Roosters supporters is why they keep wanting to see their star player make a goose of himself at the highest level.
