Forget what it's called, but I read a terrific one about Stevie Wright.

Also, another good read is Last of the Decadents, which is about Brian Jones

It is called .."sorry". I have read it twice...what a fall from grace.

I have read heaps .

The Dirt was pretty good.
Scar tissue was probably better.
13 tonne theory about the Hunters and Collectors was also very good.
The Doors - No One gets out alive - is great but I sensed a fair bit of bullshyte.

however the best of them all ( by far ) was David Crosby's Long time gone.
He makes Niki sixx and Kiedes look like weekend pot smokers.

This dude was in the Byrds and Crosby Stills Nash and Young.

It is hard to relate the music to the lifesyle he lead...it is a miracle he is still alive.

David Lee Roth - Crazy From the Heat.

Oh and Fishy, although I'm not a huge Crue fan, I've seen your taste in music and it's quite rich for you to be criticising anyone else's ...

I've heard the Doors one is brilliant, anyone care to elaborate if they've read it?
Yeah a bloke called Danny Sugerman wrote it with some other bloke.
From memory he was some sort of groupie or friend of the band when he was a teenager.

It is a good story ...but some of the stories are probably just that.
He claims morrison smoked something like 6 ounces of pot in one day.

I also read an Iggy Pop one....funny how a lot of these junkie rock stars were all quite unpopular but high achievers in school.
Iggy was apparently some sort of young genius.
He was a drummer in a band called the iguana's...hence the nickname Iggy.

Danny Sugerman also wrote a self biography called Mulholland Drive, a story of excess ( I think thats the title). Another crazy book, he also details his time as a kid with jim morrison and Iggy pop, crazy book.

A Drink with Shane Macgowan by the man himself and his missus. How the man is still alive is a miracle of modern medicine!

Scar Tissue was a great read and I'm not a big reader.

Heavier than Heaven about Kurt Cobain was pretty good too.

Anyone read the Brian "Head" Welsh of Korn book? Saw it in the shop and thought it might be a decent read but haven't spoken to anyone who's read it.
