Best Kick returner(s) in the NRL

So who is the best kick returner in the NRL. I love seeing a fullback or outside back charging back at the line full pelt.

The different styles are also up for discussion. The likes of barba jink and shift into space to make metres while Darius Boyd has a more direct approach, using his strength and speed in combination to beat tackles.

Inglis arguably the most exciting and dangerous. Perhaps a no contest he is the best?

Some of my favourites

Darius Boyd
Inglis
Barba
Morris twins
Uate
M Gordon

I like the kamikaze kick return. Unfortunately, Boyd only does it once in a match. Slightly biased, but I find it hard to look pass Uate- returns the ball with no thought of self-preservation at all.

Inglis has the most effective kick return, but his metres come from brute strength and fending off players. Not as much fun to watch as the kamikaze style.

This was Josh Hoffman's best attribute.

Mini is still pretty handy in this department. Prior to his career debilitating back injury he was one of the best of all time in that department. Always seemed to beat at least one tackle and get the Roosters on the front foot in a big way.

Compared to last season Boyd has improved 100% imo. Definitely hitting the line harder 2013, getting back to his style we seen at the Broncos, Dragons and Qld.

I beg to differ. Watching the carnage he wreaks as he throws players left and right and smashes straight over the top of anyone in his way is a lot more entertaining.

Yeah, I don't think I can remember a single instance from Boyd prior to SoO last year where he returned the ball with any gusto. After SoO he was like a completely different player.

Gordon always seems to beat the first defender I've noticed.

I think GI is the best though. If there is a broken line he is gone

Boyd was terrible at kick returns when he was with the Broncos. Guy would have been up there with Ty Williams as one of the biggest crabbers in the game, would run 30m but would only gain a metre or two. He only became adept when he traveled down south.

Kamikaze all the way for mine! Love seeing a fullback or winger running straight into the defensive line, regardless of whether it is Thurston or Jeremy Smith standing in front of them.

Far from the best compared to Uate, Inglis et al, but Mini's kick returns have been the only big positive from his game this season. Everything else he's a bit inept at but he seems to be putting a lot into kick returns, a bit like the old days.

It's strange because I can't remember him doing it this well the last 3 seasons, until just now.

Slater might not be as strong as the ones named but he is so much better at getting to the ball on the full that even if his overall metres are less than an Inglis or a Uate he usually still ends up further upfield.
