Hey folks,
I live in Perth and it’s been a long time since I’ve watched Sunday footy at a pub in Sydney.
What would be your best recommendations?
We’re staying near Circular Quay station but would go pretty much anywhere for the best atmosphere and experience.
Dunno if it makes a difference but we’re most interested in the Titans-Dragons game this Sunday 4pm coz my mrs likes the Titans.
Cheers everyone!! 🍻 🍻

There are plenty of good pubs around where you are staying, Sundays are usually quieter although with Easter Sunday there might be more people in the city.

Depends what you're after, sports bar type or just a plain bar.

Ive gone to the Cheers bar on a Sunday afternoon 4pm they usually show the NRL. Thats on George St, and nice ride on the light rail.

There's the Paragon Hotel, which is in Circular Quay, they have a nice beer garden upstairs.

If you like good beer then The Harts pub in The Rocks is the place to be. Has NRL on tv, a dozen plus amazing craft beers from around Australia on tap and food is pretty good. Only downside is the climb up the hill to it lol

Theres an old irish pub on the northern end of the rocks called the Mercantile, its great for a lazy sunday arvo, I'm friends with one of the owners, and know the retired panther who runs the security there

I'd get out of the city.

Sackville in Rozelle is great for tigers a game
Northies in Cronulla is great for a Sharks game
Steyne/Hotel Brighton in Manly for a Manly game

None of those teams playing on Sunday but great pubs to watch the footy at.

With the games on Sunday... I'd jump on the train to Kogarah/Carlton for the Dragons game. Takes 20-25 minutes but might be a bit more fun. The CBD is dead on weekends outside of the casino.
