Is this our best start to a year

What a win possibly our best performance this year...Parra had nothing when we played them....

Considering we had to make almost 10 Extra sets of tackles, and were smashed in the pens No galloway, and lost Timmy early ....plus finished the game with only 1 interchange and no forwards on the bench....

OK they lost Thurston but we were well on top by that stage, and Payne left when it was almost over...

Great win ..

Yes but can we back it up from here? Couple of key injuries there... It could all start to unravel very, very quickly.

Tim has been Solid but he has Hardly been on Fire....But we will miss him...

Depends on what Sheens does...Will he give tomato a run or the more likely ( please no) Farah to 7 and Fitzy to 9...???

Not just Moltzen. Galloway, Payten & Ellis as well. I'm sure they'll be right but if the wheels start to fall off you don't want to be relying on key players returning to form if they're coming off a few weeks in rehab.

Payto is now listed as a calf strain, Galloway may be back next round Ellis is fine IMO....

The good news is one more win and we are almost half way to the top 8....

I reckon we're a good shot to go 2/3 over the next 3 weeks. We should trump the Dogs, tussle and likely lose with the Panthers and do the Roosters over at Cambo. If you told me we'd head into the bye with 6 wins and 2 losses, I'd take it with open arms.

thats exactly it, it doesnt get much harder then playing canberra in canberra, then in less then 7 days playing the cowboys on a steamy saturday night.

to come away with 2 wins is a brilliant effort.

Next three games are crucial - if we can get away with 2 out of 3 with the injuries we've picked up to be 6 out of 8 with the bye week afterwards, you'd be relatively pleased. We needed to start well as our closing 4 games is a horror stretch - Panthers home, Eels away, Storm home, Titans away - no gimmes there at all therefore we can't leave it to our usual "2 wins from last 3 games" otherwise we'll be struggling. Only positive from that closing slate is our two home games are at CSS & Leichhardt.

Tigers are notrious Mid-season slumpers and end of season specials.

To be honest, I'll be happy to get just 1 win from the next 3, so long as we avoid any further injuries.

Bar Marshall or Farah, that injury couldn't come to anyone worse. Moltzen is the only real first grade halfback we have, unless Lazarus steps up.

The injuries to our forwards isn't too big a concern this year though, for the first time in a while we actually have some good depth in the forwards. Moors and Cayless are playing reggies, we have Payten, Flanagan and Fifita on the bench. Heighno, Ellis and Fulton starting, all 80 min players...

End of season specials - except when we've got to win 5 from 6 or 3 from 4 to get in the finals. No thanks - let's keep piling up the wins now so we're not faced with that scenario for the fourth year running.
