Napa over Morley, Salvo or McGahan?

Give him another 5 years to even enter the conversation.

Also Craig Wing was hands down a better hooker than Jake Friend imo.

No disrespect to Jake but Wingy is one of the underrated modern day great hookers. He was amazing.

Good points. I will revise it.

Also I made a mistake with Neville Charlton. He played in 1962-63 so out of the time frame specified.

Not sure what the criteria was, but no SBW???? Sonny made that 2013 team what is was, and along with Fittler, was one of our greatest ever signings.

My head hurts thinking of all the wonderful players we have had since 1967 and trying to come up with our greatest 17 from this era.

I can only remember since about 1980 but have to include some of the great 74/75 teams in my final line up. I will get back to you with my squad in a couple of days lol.

Mini to fullback, Boustead to Wing. SBW has to start in the back row.

I suppose it depends on criteria.

As a player SBW is probably one of the 3 best players to don our jersey in this time period along with Freddy and Artie.

But as a club legend the likes of Fitzgibbon leaves him for dead.

The one flying under the radar here is Boyd Cordner. Already a club legend imo and in 5 years time will be a certainty for a team like this.

As utility Craig Wing is probably a no brainer but I just have to find a spot for probably the most talented attacking, if flawed player to wear our jersey being Andrew Walker.

I would love to able to put 8 players on the interchange bench. Yes Andrew Walker deserves a spot and maybe I should have put him on my interchange over JWH. Would love to be able to find a spot for Luke Phillips, he was one of the toughest fullbacks going around, his performances in the 2000 and 2002 Grand Finals where he put his body on the line time after time are so precious in my memory banks. Would love to find a spot for John Mackay, a tough no nonsense second rower who battled away game after game for the Roosters.
I had to put Ron [Sooty] Saddler, one of my earliest memories of following the Roosters and even to this day is remembered as one of the best defensive centres ever.
