Where was your favorite place you've gone on vacation?

Why was it so wonderful? Any pictures? I know that so many of you have these wonderful beaches right by your house while I'd have to drive more than 24 hours to get to the nearest ocean.

Do you ever get sick of the beach and rather go somewhere else for vacation?

Well I quite like visiting members of my family in Northern Ireland. There's this lovely little village called Cushendall in County Antrim about 50 minutes out of Belfast. I cant get enough of that place.

Then hop on the train and down to County Cork to visit other members. :D

My best would have been SoCal!

Did LA, San Diego, and even managed a trek south to the infamous TJ. Later in the expedition we ventured north to San Fran. Of course, did all the trademark visits in LA - Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios... etc. Even did a tour of the USS Constellation while it was docked in San Diego Bay. I'll never forget that trip...

I'm leaving in a month to go to Mount Rushmore. Probably nothing exciting to y'all but it should be fun for us. It's a pretty cool place

Went to the UK and LA in 1999. Scotland was great, London was Ok. LA was fo two days, and it was probably two days too many.

Also spent a couple of hours in Tokyo (well, the airport) on that trip. Saw the Waterboy at least 4 times.

Great memories, must go back sometime - if i had the money.

I found Tasmaina was a great holiday destination, although some of the people there were a tad weird...

I found Tasmania amazing, but I was only 11. People might not realise it, but IMO the WEST Coast of Tassie is a must see. One of the most beautiful parts of the world.

I actually didn't mind Western Australia. They have some beautiful beaches down in the southern part, and Margaret River is just absolutey stunning.

Just got back on Saturday from 5 weeks backpacking around Europe. Favourites would be Paddywagon tour around Ireland, Munich was also unbelievable as was Barcelona. Those 3 along with New York would be my favourite destinations to date.

This is probably my fave pic from my trip to WA. Was taken at one of the vineyards we visited. Clicky to enlarge.

EDIT: I liked this one too, because it looks like I've got a giant flag coming out of my head :p. Took me 3 tries to get the pic perfect. Clicky to enlarge.

I've been to quite a few different places (considering im only 21, im pretty lucky). So far i've been to:

- Canada: I have family there, it is absolutely gorgeous in the winter. Awesome place to visit.

- New Zealand: Very beautiful, lovely people - and a great exchange rate ;)

- Thailand: Wonderful people, always do anything they can to help. Beer only costs the equivilant of $1 for a schooner!

- New Caledonia: Spectacularly beautiful - and right on our doorstep!

- England: Dreary weatherwise, but otherwise the people (except on the tube) are nice, and their are some wonderfully crafted buildings.

- Cyprus: One of my all time favourite places to visit. Beautiful beyond words.

Byron is my fav destination, and its only half an hour away

I was thinking there may be some interresting people in Minnesota, but I haven't met any yet, but from what I have, its always cold and it snows alot.

Btw, how are the lovely daughters ?

If you like vineyards like that - go to Mudgee. Absolutely covered in them - theres like 30 odd in a town of only 10k!

The lovely daughters are interesting Minnesotans (who can even spell "interesting").
We Minnesotan's are dull though. I'd not recommend us at all.
