this is a very big game in the scheme of things for cronulla s season
win this and i am sure we will have a very very successful year...a loss would be disastrous.
one very important factor in our favour is reports from rabbitoh territory that it is not a very happy camp this week.
time will tell!

Their fullback was Todd Polgase (who I rate!) and he is out for the season after round 1. Not sure about Brad Watts...

I have the Round 2 Guide infront of me now. Dougs was in No.4, Brad Watts was in the No.1 and "Todd Polgase"? wasn't even mention on it, even as a bench player!?!

I didn't see the game, so I am only going by what is in the team releases of their teams for the weekend!

Dougs at Fullback is a scarey thought in some ways, it is a relief in others, as I don't rate him an anything at fullback, but he could still do anything...

Guess we'll have to wait till tommorrow arvo to see who actually is in their team and where they are playing...

I think we should beat the Bunnies quite easily. It will be a case of Cronulla having to play pathetically to lose.

I'd be very surprised if that happened - the Sharks form has been pretty ordinary whereas Souths have played with a fair degree of enthusiasm, and our forwards in particular have outmuscled both the roosters and tigers. Methinks it is the sharks that will need to lift ;-)

Polglase injured himself in the 1st round and is out for the season, Watts pulled out of the Tigers game with an injury and Doogs played full-back for the entire game. Needless to say, Doogs is a high quality player wherever he plays, and he carved the Tigers up making well over 300 mts for the game

Nah, the Sharks will have too much class. Kimmorley and Peachey are back to their best, and if the Sharks can control possession, a good win will result.

Definately we need to lift...

We wont get away with the win if we continue to relax in winable situations!
Saying that I still think we're some weeks of our true potential as a footy team..

We definately need to lift....

Glad to see our three star players are leading by example ie Peach,Noddy,Stevo...

Most of you blokes gave them the 3-2-1 points....that can only lift a side!!!

Bring it on!!!!!

I was worried about this game.
Then I heard the news about Johns.
Kimmorley will not lack motivation for the next 8 weeks, he will take the boys with him.
Souths are no push overs, teams must show up in this comp.
I think they will, I think we will.
I think we will win hansomely, until I see the teams, no score predictions.

Kimmmorley will lack motivation??? Im amazed the BK knockers are still around, but hey there is always a hangover somewhere in the world. Give the guy a break, he is a champion player and lead by example the other night. I guess if we dont win a premiership in the next 10 years it will still be kimmorley's fault

I don't want to knock BK because I love the little bloke but I hope he doesn't try to overplay the situation. He will want to impress Bennett which is great but we don't need him hogging the ball. His combination with Peach is blossoming and if he can continue to share the ball around we are specials.

Big, Big danger game for us. We lose and our confidence plummets. We win and it's just an expected win. Souths are a 12 point better team than they were last year.

Maddog needs a few shoulders to the ribcage and he won't be back in a hurry. The guy we really need to stop is Fletcher.

It's definitely a danger game but I think if we play the way we did on Saturday (for the first 50 minutes anyway) then we should win comfortably.

Actually no it says he will not lack motivation.
I imagine he figured he was no chance to play SOO, despite being the Roos half, that must be deflating, now he knows he is a chance his motivation will be as high as it gets.
All players from all teams have motivation issues with teams they are expected to beat.
Where are these Kimmorley knockers??????????

There is a difference between observation and criticism.

I think all things being equal we should beat the bunnies fairly comfortably. They might get a few points late in the game but overall we'll have it under control. McDougall is the X factor however, i hope Stuey has a good plan to keep him quiet.

On what I've seen this year South have played better than the Sharks.
I think we are open to more improvement.
I dont think theyve beaten us since 1984.
I hope its a 20th anniversary party.

Good. We beat them by 20 last year, and we're a 12 point better side now as well.
