For every Pryce and Walker there is a Yeaman and McGuire, so the RFU can spend all there cash on upcoming RL players, as there will always be someone to fill their boots - and its a great advertisement for our game and our superior athletes

I couldn't agree with you more Jon . Unfortunately the Union biased media in Britain can't see it like that . No journalist in the tabloids has , to my knowledge , penned an article extolling the virtues of RL and asking why the RFU needs to be paying players to walk straight into their international team when they've never played Union before in their lives . But then again , other than dyed in the wool RL journalists , I've very rarely seen a serious piece of journalism in the dailies about RL . The usual story used to revolve around how all those nice and quaint northern people came down to the big city for the weekend .

Yeah, it would be nice if there was a revolution of sorts and some rugby league journalists were able to invade the pages of the biggest selling dailies and at least achieve equity with the amount of coverage afforded RU.

Perhaps it takes a world cup win for league to stand a chance of getting that type of coverage, and the many issues about why that is less possible for an English RL team compared to an English RU team are documented in this and other threads... vicious cycle.
