That dead ball call was a joke..

It was obviously going to clear the boundary,& there wasn't a fielder there to catch it any way..

Sixers have named an unchanged squad for their next game.

What?

Dan Smith again?

Give someone else a go FFS.

Rogers is totally clueless, getting tips off Ricky i think. Doesn't bowl Mahmood out and gives Abbot 1 over. Tool Zampa off after 3 overs and brings him back on when Reardon had got a sighter. Total derpage.

Big Bash seems to still be doing well in the ratings. In attendance, its a far cry from season 1.

11,157 average after 11 games. The league averaged 17,750 last season. The drop off must be a bit of a concern.

20/20 is a format of the game with no history, no soul.

People are already seeing through the shallowness

It needs time to build and to develop the brands that make up the league, but its the magnitude of the drop off thats the concerning bit. You could always expect a drop off in attendance after the first season, but maybe not as stark as its been. Again though, the ratings seem to be holding up. Its regularly above 200k.

The brands won't develop because they are so shit to start with. The names and colours are arbitrary. Brisbane wears light blue, Adelaide royal blue, Sydney green and pink, Melbourne red anc green. And the names bear no corellation to the places they represent, except maybe Perth and Brisbane (and then they have a team called "Heat" wearing a cold colour). But I think possibly the worst thing is that the players don't come from the places they play for. It's one thing to have imports from overseas flying in for the series, but when you have blokes playing for Victoria one week and Sydney the next (for example) it's hard to take the team seriously.

Thunder are beyond hope.

There needs to be an auction like the IPL, so there's a more even spread of talent amongst the teams.

IMO.
