Patterson is only opening to feed the strike to the likes of Watson and Buttler, he will find the boundary in the PP overs but ideally you want either Buttler or Watson to get going and have Patterson to play that anchor role, the problem is when Watson or Buttler don't really get going there isn't a whole lot of power hitting after that

Obviously I am no coach but it's not fair to blame Patterson just because I don't think that is his role
