Big finish

Probably the closest finish to a season for a while.
3 of the top 4 get beaten in the one weekend.
Teams who are looking for an easy draw to finish the year are getting smacked because the cellar dwellers are inspiring each other after seeing that the top dwellers are beatable - maybe a few who are already in the finals have an eye on other things.

The final make-up of the 8 is far from settled and a top 4 thats been pretty consistent for most of the season is taking a hit 5 weeks out.

The Wahs are in freefall. They can't, and wont, recover from metcalfs injury. Tanah Boyd will wear this on his shoulders as he was bought to offer more than what he can. Next week they can drop from 4 to 7 if Dogs beat them and sharks, broncs and pennies all win.

....BUT, broncs have to travel to Melbourne to play a team they never beat. The Storm, who are playing to win another minor premiership and are intent on keeping these legacy alive.
Broncs and Wahs lose...and we win...we jump to 5th.

That leaves Pennies ahead of us. They travel to newcastle and are getting warmed up for a tilt at 5 in a row so one would expect them to win - but - knights are a very tough assignment at home. Theyre a much better side without Ponga.
If Pennies win, they then have storm the following week whilst we host the Titans. Thus .....the top 4 is highly achievable.
We have a bye smack in the middle of the final 5 rounds, nice timing for a rest up before things reaching the pointy end.

Dolphins can do themselves, and everyone else a huge favour next weekend if they beat roosters. That'll put a 4 point buffer between the 8 and the roosters.

Just keep winning and I think the worst we finish is 5th. The titans beating Penrith yesterday would have been great.

while we haven’t looked great at times, at least we are banking points. Bulldogs and Canberra may have peaked and Melbourne look a bit inconsistent like us dare I say.

Yep…. I looked at at the draw about a month ago and the match ups over the next few weeks between the top sides is awesome for us. Our only threat for 4th spot is the pennies imo. That’s on the condition that we keep winning and having said that…no game is a given.

Yea if you add the bye in we are 4th. It is weird how nobody mentions it. I saw The Bye round talking about teams landing spots and how every had used their bye besides Canberra.

Speaks to how impressive we have been this year I guess.

I lost count.
How many chickens do we have?

Yep we outplayed them in Canberra and were only beaten on the bell by an unlucky bounce. Like I said a couple of weeks ago…. I’d love nothing more than to shit on Ricky’s parade in a 1 v 4 semi. Lot to play out before then though.

Bounce of the ball? My memory was a p!so weak tackle from Kennedy.

I’d have to have another look but I remember a freakish try that after going through about 10 sets of hands resulted in a cross field Hail Mary kick that we had 3 players converging on. Raiders only had 1 player in the picture who got the perfect bounce and flick passed to Seb Kris? who went over. Magic try but arsey. My point being that we would have no fear playing them down there.
