It was a big day for Sydney soccer. Sydney never sold out an NSL final (never got close) unlike Brisbane and Perth who have, so it has been done in Australia several times before for a local grand final. Hats off to Sydney for finally selling one out.

The rest of Australia probably had little idea the A league final was on.

If next year's final happens to be Perth v melbourne I'm sure Sydney people would largely have no idea it was on.

Let's hope the Marniers keep on winning too otherwise they can expect much less than their 7,000 crowd average from this season.

mariners will average alot more than 7 000 next year. expect up around the 13 000 average
