i totally agree with Vagana!
i eagerly await his skills to return each and every week...but instead he gets no ball and when he gets the ball, he just offloads it or makes a couple of metres.

 sad about Nige

Greg Bird's knee was obviously very disappointing.

I am not disappointed with Vagana, I am disappointed with us not knowing how to use him.

I am surprised at how well Sully has gone at hooker.

I am surprised at how well Isemonger has gone too.

with due respect i think a guy on that amount of money should involve himself and not wait for someone to deliver the glory pass so he can fall over the line

Disappointed with Vagana's lack of involvement, disappointed with the losses where we should have won (Tigers, Bulldogs, Souths, Cowboys, Panthers)

Pleased with Ise, Dumas, Gallen, Sully at hooker and McGoldrick's attack

Dispointments:
*Our inconsitancy (i never know how sharks will go each week some weeks we play so well just look how we have beat brisbane, melbourne, canberra then we have weeks where we just dont have it and we keep on dropping balls and making silly errors to give the game away, perfect example was against panther we had it going great at half time.

Surprises*
*Kind of the same as above but when we lost to bth canberra and panthers surprisenly i wasnt to worried as we are without our major men (Noddy and Peach)
sully is a good up and coming player but at the moment he doesnt have the skills of brett or david and he can't controll our team around like they can. I am happy our boys did keep them self in those 2 games i thought we were gorn by 50+ both times but i am quite happy with how they turned out.

Disappointments

- Greg Bird shaming the name of our great club v Souths
- Losses v Souths and Cowboys, which could well cost us dearly at the end of the year
- Poor defence late in games, resulting in late tries and a sh*thouse for/against

Pleased with

- The Brisbane win. Our team showed its capabilities, more of which should be forthcoming when Noddy and Peach return
- Lomu and McGoldrick are showing good form, and Sully and Isemonger stepping up
- Nutley's considerable improvement in discipline, while remaining in the top five NRL hitup/tackler lists

Disappointments
I'm not that disappointed in Merrit & Vagana because I was expecting much.
dissappointed we spent half a million a year on those 2.

PL players not performing & putting more pressure on the firsts

Not signing a 5/8th

Cronullas alround kicking game

Peach & Nuttley bagging by supposed Cronulla supporters

Surprises
Dumas
Simmons
Raper
Noddys flexibility in changing to the new style.

Dissappointment

1. The fact our defence is no better than last year.
2. Our goal kicking.
3. Inability to settle on a number 9.

Nice Suprises
1. Noddy's form, I had reservations with the Ando factor and all, well done Brett and Raper.
2. Gallen keeping his hits below the shoulders
3. Dumas.

With all due respect, why hasn't the coach found a way to get him more involved? He plays right centre. Bailey is always inside him. It's up to Raper to get Bailey to either pass the ball or get out of the way. Vagana hasn't come looking for the ball all that much, granted, but has the coach asked him to?

i make the assumption mcsharkie that the coach hasnt specifically asked vagana not to get involved

he is one of the teams most experienced players if he still needs the coach to ask him to get involved we are in big trouble

hmm he makes a point there

bailey was once again bludging in the centres yesterday on occasion

it's one thing to run at the fringes, it's another to displace guys whose job it is to be there

yeah I do my own amount of shark bagging but I tend to be a little logical on my approach & not personal. Same with giving guys wraps.
merrit case in point. How can anybody support that guy. 0 effort. Less!
Vagana. Been under the radar, but now, firmly in vision.

Well I totally disagree with that. Vagana is new to this side. He need to be specifically told by the coach what his role is. This is the sort of lack of leadership that will get us nowhere. The coach is the leader, he designs the way every member of the squad plays. What each and every role is and it's benefit to the team as a whole.

It just looks to me as if they haven't worked it out yet. Why don't we run second phase plays with Vagana on the end of it? It's one of the more simple plays going around. Everyone does it (except us) and it is very effective. There is always space created by it because it is so hard to defend.

Maybe Vagana should come in to look for the ball a bit more but I don't think that is the way to use him either. He is better when he has a bit of space out wide. There is no point him taking hit ups.

not surprised at all with Mcgoldrick starting to look the goods ...i could tell he was a good a footballer and backed him from day one. Actually i think i was even being called mrs Mcgoldrick there at one stage.

i hate to do it but but he has forced me into it ...i'm going to agree with Blacktip-reefy has to say. The Peachey bagging is ridiculous and suggesting that he is to old or has passed his used by date and should not be offered another contract is ludicrous ...he is not far from being the best player we have, winning without him doesn't happen. 50% of what he brings us every week goes unnoticed. He is more creative than any five eighth we have and outplays them in that position even though he is playing at fullback.

He should be offered a contract and a contract that represents his worth to us and he still has plenty to offer. ....Without the peach we are half the team and without him and noddy we are nothing but a rabble.

Mr mcsharkie, isn't your question a simple matter of logic?

I mean if all the Mr and Miss Nuffies that make up or forum family can see Mr Vagana is not looking for work, then surly Mr Raper can see it and would be teeling him to get involved.

the duck is really starting to wonder just how fit/unfit Mr Vagana really is

duck disappointments

Overall none - I think the team has over performed for what they started with

Players - Mr Galloway is becoming a forerunner for the most over rated title, Mr vagana for all the above, not giving the experienced Mr Saleh enough NRL time, must be protecting incentive payments there.

duck surprise

still being a chance at the 8.
