we are taking peachey for granted far too much
reminds me of ET's final years "he's no good any more, he wont go anywhere else, we can do without him" etc etc etc

well, 14 losses in a row without peach and it would seem we cant do without him
we are also playing on peach's sense of loyalty far too much - he probably wont go anywhere else, even for a pay rise

so the club has a responsibility to reward peach for his loyalty, i dont think his next contract should be exhorbitant but it should adequately reflect what he is worth to the team
and what's more he should be signed now
none of this wait until after the deadline business...make him feel wanted, he SHOULD be wanted, if i was him i'd be questioning the club as to WTF they are doing after he's given 13, 14 or so years of unquestioned service to the club

Sullivan and Isemonger have been very surprising. I always liked Ice Man because he was a local boy and showed some promise early but I had resigned to the fact that the multiple knee reconstructions had destroyed him. I'm glad to be proven wrong on that account.

Biggest surprises - Dumas
Biggest Disappointment - Vagana, the idea that the club may think that Peach no longer has a role, loss to crappy teams
Happiest about - winning a couple of games we would have been expected to lose - Broncs in Brisbane, Manly at brookvale (I know but we haven't won there much)

Biggest Surprise:

That at the start of the season, you jokers actually thought that your sorry excuses for 'star recruits' would make any real difference.

Vagana - the fact that he was ore interested in what drafting jobs were available than the actual club he was signing with should have set off motivation alarm bells.

Merritt - a Souths discard.

Lomu - a bench player at best at any other club.

He is being retooled as an offloader in the menzies style & not a ram like a webcke.

Have to agree with reefy, if you have watched Lomu this season he has been offloading like crazy, he has impressed me a lot compared to what I saw of him at the Roosters.

Disappointments - Goal Kicking, losing the game against Souths, no ball Nigel, Stevens SOO debarcle, Kimmorley and Peachey injured when we were just getting it together.

Surprises - Sullivan, McGoldrick.

Dissapointments
Galloway , he is still young but needs to find what he had last year.
Peachy , still slow on the kick return , his tackling and kick in play is letting the team down. Simmonds or Franze must be bought on or a new fullback found.
Gallen being told he can test the market, should have been wrapped up with Nuts. For me this is a big dissapointment and has made me seriously depressed.

Suprises and uplifting moments
Goldrick , his continued good form and the way the coach stuck with him.
Simmonds , his play on the wing and at fullback at his age is full of maturity.
Bird , passing the ball against Penrith , quite a supprise.
The continued fine standard of analiysis found right here on our forum.
