Biggest Impact on the season

Which player do you expect to have the biggest impact on our season?

After his performance in the Sevens I think Adam Dykes will finally repay the faith that Smith and the club has shown and lead us around the park like we expected when he was first bought. With someone leading the way from the half or 5/8 position the Eels season could be bigger and brighter than it has been for a long time.

I think our biggest impact will come from the likes of Armit and Tsolous i reckon these young guys will step up and have big years

there's about 20 players to choose from

but i'm gonna go with vaealiki - i think he might start busting the line again. if our forwards go forward, he'll be the one to advantage most

Vella's in a contract year if I remember right? I have a feeling this will bring out a big year in him. If I'm mistaken, well, he'll have a few big games and a lot of average ones.

I hope Matt Petersen gets a full season of first grade this year, I think he'll continue his try scoring ways, he just has that knack of finding the line that Vagana, Blacklock and Wesser have, but he's a great all round player too.

I have knocked Burt on many occasions but before he got injured last year he was playing good footy and from what I saw last weekend Burt has really baulked up.

Yep - Burty for sure - he was our best player before getting injured last season.

And I am hoping Dykes will come out of his skin....maybe the Thorman signing was all to put some pressure on Dykes and make him push that bit harder - and maybe its working  .

I'm hoping 2 players will have a huge impact. Dykes & Witt. If these 2 can gel anything is possible. ;-)

Burt definitely. I feel this is his year.

Then Dykes or Thorman, don't mind which.

And then hopefully either Cannings, Pearson, Tsoulos, or Armit to get that forward pack firing!

I think it will be a combination of all the new players, Thorman, Cannings, Muckert, Grothe. and thus it will be BRIAN SMITH who makes the biggest impact!!!

If half of our supporters can attribute the bad stuff to being because of Smiths actions, the other half, or me at least, will attribute the good stuff also because of his actions.

If Smith doesn't play favourites this will be the biggest impact.I think his necks on the line this season so hopefully we won't see plyers that aren't performing retaining their spots.

4 Players will have a huge impact on our season. Hindmarsh, Cayless, Vella and Dykes. Between the four of them they only managed to play 46 games out of a possible 104 games in season 2003. If these four players play the magority of the season then we will travel much better than last season.

Just for interest between the four of these players there are 497 first grade games, 14 origin caps, 23 test caps, 3 world cup (year 2000) tourists, 1 City origin cap, 1 kanagroo tourist (year 2001), Dally M 5/8 of the year 2001, Rookie of the year 1999, multiple Dally M and Footy show awards for second rower of the year and other stuff but i just cant remember. A pretty impressive group that needs to be playing for the majority of the season.

I reckon mainly the forwards will make an impact, hopefully Cayless and Hindmarsh will be injury-free this year, Muckert and Armit will do well in the forwards. Hopefully guys like Tsolous and Cannings will make an impact.

The bulldogs pack will be a good test for our pack.

8.O'Merley
9.Perry
10.Price
11.Mason
12.Feeney
13.Ryan

Anyone who doesnt respect this pack is a fool. Not the biggest pack going around but one of the most physcial and hard working ones in the league. O'merley and Price on there day can easily pop out 20+ hit ups each. Mason though inconsistant always lifts for a game against Parra.

Hopefully we can use power house forwards like Hindmarsh, Cayless, Cannings and Tsoulos/Kaulfusi to run straight through them.

The biggest impact will be our best player and the best damn secondrower that we have EVER had and the one who when he retires will be rated the best ever forwrad, you know who I am talking about, I find it offensive that I have to say it again but I will for the very last time.

Nathan "the buffullo" Hindmarsh.

What a player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
