bigpond Video and firefox

for some reason i cant use firefox to view the nrl games on bigpond video... anyone got any ideas of how to fix this?

Use internet explorer when trying to watch them. That's what I have to do.

Bigpond is sh*t and made it incompatible with FF.

FF works for me sometimes with it.

Use IE.

yeh i can do that but ff has a capture tool so the stuff can be downloaded but it wont work if the video wont.

Ok, I've had a look and can now get the Bigpond TV NRL gallery going through FF (for the first time). If yours was working before it might have changed if/when you updated to FF1.5?

First you need to make sure you have the right mozilla activex xp plug-in installed - I got it from here: http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozilla.htm

If your FF browser says that "software installation is disabled, edit options" then you need to tweak the setting if you've updated to FF 1.5, as it's no longer editable through FF menus. Instructions here - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions_-_Firefox (and you may have to "allow" the site which you are getting the plug-in from for it to download and install).

Now, can you tell me about this FF capture tool...?

this is the video downloader extension for firefox... it works on youtube but doesnt seem to work on the big pond videos.

apparently you can do that with http://www.wmrecorder.com/

i havent tried it yet but im getting the demo now

The demo of WMRecorder will only let you do about 10 seconds or whatever.

You will need to buy it, or "buy" it. ;-)
