I don't believe the Sharks will release him, so if he wants to return it won't be until after his current contract concludes - I believe end of 2016. The Sharks will try hard to extend his contract over the next two years.

Widdop has constantly said he is not looking to go anywhere. You know it's been years since we have been able to field a team with a good solid 6 and 7. I like the way both Widdop and Marshall are playing and hope both will stay for as long as the Club wants them.
