English heritage players??? Look son i think you are out of your depth here lol

And just cos some has dual eligibility doesn't mean they should be allowed to flit between the two, pick one and stick with it.... COS THIS ISN'T CLUB RUGBY

And no,was fine with rangi cos no rules where broken

I doubt if rangi chose his country at 18 that England would have been his first choice

But tell me more about not having a problem with it as well as your preference for players to choose early and stick with it

What hypocrisy??

Not a single RLIF LAW was broken to select chase or any other foreigner..

I can give half a dozen times where oz & nz have broken the laws if you like..at the moment oz & nz are actually changing rules on the fly...apparently players can now play for a 2nd tier nation if the miss out on select for a 1tier nation....this isn't actually a RLIF law lol

The hypocrisy is your view that players shouldn't flip and flop and should be made accountable for their choice of nations, yet have no problem with Rangi chase who trained with the NZ world Cup squad in 2008, played with NZ Maori from 2008 to 2010 then went on to play for England in 2011. His choice seems pretty clear to any reasonable person.

Yes, you are correct that no laws were broken. But you are also arguing that the laws should be changed, so it would be dangerous to rely on such laws it would seem to me.

...apparently players can now play for a 2nd tier nation if the miss out on select for a 1tier nation....this isn't actually a RLIF law lol
Where is the law that prohibits it?

EDIT - Finally, your use of "lol" would suggest you're a fair bit younger than me so I would cut out the dopey lad and kid remarks

There is a real possibility that the Kangaroos could cherry pick several players who played in the 2013 WC for other nations, Radradra, Frizzell, Leilua & Milford come to mind which does not seem right.
Add to that Jennings & Hayne played for other nations in the 2008 WC and could get picked for Australia when they already have the NZ born Papalli and Tamou.

On the issue of Rangi Chase, if you don't believe me, listen to the outrage from your former captain:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/archives/rugbyleague/816196/england-vow-sparks-rangi-chase-row/

Here's a good quote from rangi on his selection for NZ Maori : “This game could help me play for New Zealand. That’s my goal to wear the black and white of my country. It’s a dream of mine since I was a little kid.”

Anyway, back on topic. Yes, its not an easy issue to deal with in terms of black and white rules. There will always be players with dual eligibility and I reckon the best way is to incentivise the players rather than punish them.

Chase should be no where near playing for England the second he played for a nz international team.

Same for leilua the second he played for Samoa.
Forget all this tier garbage and 4 year cycles. How is that going to make lesser teams feel good about themselves.

Plant you flag and stick to it.
