BK Out - Not all that bad

Obviously I would much rather have him in the side but apart from this it seems in his absence other 'low profile' players have been given the ability to take control. This is my opinion on it, which takes off partially from the article "The Freak Show: The End of an Era" which briefly touched on this.

Two excellant examples of players thriving in the absense of BK would be Jason Kent and Michael Sullivan. Kent, through Kimmorleys absence has been given the opportunity to step up into first grade and show us his ability, his ability in a position at which no-one could have thought he would thrive in. This has given us a potential 5/8, a back up 5/8 or at the very least a back up centre/winger, so, in other words provided us with more depth as will be required in future.

Sullivan is another person who has exceeded expectations in this period. As a result of the loss of such a great leader and playmaker in Kimmorley he has had to step up to a new level and take control. He has started to command the plays better and above all developed/shown an excellant short kicking game which was relavitely unseen prior to BK's injury. This will provide us with a second option in attack kicking wise. Sullivan has also been more involved in general and created more opportunities for tries - try assists which will prove invaluable later on this year or next year.

So, in the absense of BK, which in the short term may prove detramental (although hasnt yet), will however in the long-term (ie next year) help us greatly with our attempt to gain a Premiership, with players like Sullivan, Kent (mentioned) and many more, been given the opportunity to expand their game.

It doesn't help, that's for sure. It means we'll be back at full strength for the Eels, but hopefully we can bag a couple of wins over the next month

You may say they have stepped up in BK's absence, bu we are talking about a side running last that had 50 points put on them a few rounds ago.

I thought we were lucky to hang on.

Against the top sides, if we don't have Peach and Kimmorely we are going to be in serious trouble.

We seem to lack a little organisation in the red zone without Noddy and Peach on the field, so hopefully peach will be back this week for not only is organisation but his fullback skills

I think we are gonna get trounced by these teams if we dont improve by 100%.
Way to many mistakes and missed tackles. If we dont do jack with the ball on the last tackle then close your eyes because I fear we will not win anymore games.
WILL SOMEONE PUT THEIR HAND UP ON THE LAST TACKLE FOR GODS SAKE!!!

The way I look at it we got sucked in to the inept brand of footy the warriors have shown this year, more examples would be the last time we played manly we should have put fifty on them, but we started to allow them to dictate the pace and so were almost run down.
The only win I can truly be proud of since BK has been out would be the newcastle game, which also gives me some hope playing the teams higher up the table, not saying we're golden but gives confidence.

It really wasnt my intention to suggest we are/will play good etc and beat some top sides. More just to highlight some positivies gained from BK's absence and how when hes back, mainly for next year it will have a beneficial effect. That is why I stated at the end 'short term' and 'long term' effects of it.
